Ever since the nominees for the 86th Academy Awards were announced on January 16, 2014, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills, California, the Oscar fever has been gripping cinephiles.

Nine top-notch movies are competing at the 86th Academy Awards Nominees for Best Picture. To begin with, American Hustle' is one of the top contenders for the Oscars this year with 10 nods.

American Hustle' is based on the true story of a conman named Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who, along with his wily and seductive partner-in-crime Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for a crazy FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). Jennifer Lawrence plays Rosalyn Rosenfeld, the wife of Irving.

Not only did director David O. Russell's American Hustle' receive widespread critical acclaim, it has also earned $200 million at the box office worldwide.
