It is very hard to stand against Amir-Raju combo.

I wish bollywood would stop fixating on the 100-200 crore club. They have really downgraded the type of films being made just in the name of getting in that club.

Honestly I don't think a film like Welcome Back even deserves to work, let's let the makers get a taste of their own medicine for once. Gaye the paise kamaane with a sequel, and got babaji ka thullu.

P.K. will rule, it has everything going for it! Bombay Velvet's initials will depend on the music, and promotions strategy. If these two things are a hit, BV's BO collections can soar as well. Something like Rockstar, the promotions and music created a huge initial for the film.

Bombay Velvet WILL have better music than PK and a better promos than PK leading up to its release. Its the actual content where the real problem would lie if Anurag Kashyap is not making a sell out.

I doubt it, Aamir + Raju + Shantanu Moitra (music director) is a deadly combination, it will be 3 Idiots all over again.

I'm kind of taking Ranbir's word when he says that Anurag is making this very commercial and kinda dumbing it down for his audience. I bet the script is good, it's just how appealing the content is to the mass audience which will affect its total run.

koi doubt mat rakhna, if Raju Hirani has any weak link, its his music sense. All his films had poor music, its because they were terrific films the music gained popularity post release.

With Anurag Kashyap there is absolutely no doubt about the music it will be sensational. He always, always comes up with great first look and cool promos with amazing music. So pre release I am expecting Bombay Velvet to create good/great buzz irrespective of PK. Its a 100 Cr budget film so I think he would be making a more commercially appealing film to a broader section. The problem for me as his fan and for all his 'cult followers' would be can he appease the larger segment and also his fans at the same time, otherwise they will be pretty vocal in their disappointment online which could kill the film.

BV will shift to Republic Day 2015.

Releasing close to PK could also work in favour of Bombay velvet. When people do not get the tickets to watch Peekay, they might watch BV as the next option rather than going home disappointed. Sometimes a big hit works in everyone's favour.
