how was the relationship between Raman and Ishita? Did they love each other?

Exactly!

It is very loosly based - infact for the most part Ekta - Has pulled the custody concept, Ishita's inability to conceive and some of the characters/characterization.

To be honest I didn't find the book written all that well and in parts it was very "dark". There were quite a few chapters on Ashok and Shagun's affair. I am glad Ekta presented it as more of a done deal. YHM is actually more refreshing so far

The books sounds really good.

But yeah, I don't think viewers would have accepted Raman and Ishita without Ruhi for a full 3 years.

Ruhi was always with Raman and Ishita .

Ashok was an NRI . He came to India to work for the big Brand company ( I think the author meant Coca-Cola) . When his affair with Shagun became public , he was sent back to the USA . That time he and Shagun wanted to marry . Till then children were with Shagun and Raman was not willing to divorce. SO there was a deal between Raman and Shagun - Raman gets the custody and he frees Shagun .

So Shagun left for USA, son was sent to boarding school as he no longer wanted to study in his old school, but Raman had his custody. Ruhi started to live with Raman . At this point Raman also started to date Ishita and after six months they got married .

Children were supposed to visit Shagun during their summer and winter holidays . After marriage Ishita refused to send Ruhi to Shagun . So at the end Shagun refiled the custody case .

ty di , So Kekta has only taken the basic plot rest all are amendments.Honestly I am enjoying every bit of it , this track of Raman's insecurity and jaded thinking is a little streched but its gives me hopes that he would go all the way to get his ruhi's love , next is raman ishita's love story how that will be developed? though Ekta will eventually ruin things but till now the show is very gripping more over I feel it is Karan and Divyanka's chemistry n pairing which is playing an important part in the sucess of the show .
