I have finished reading the novel .

Raman and Ishita getting the custody of Ruhi is the climax of the novel .

However they got it 3 years after their marriage .

They started to date before getting married and their marriage was just registration and none of the family members were present. Raman lived separately from his family .

Shagun and Ashok went back to USA . The son - Arjun (in serial Aditya) was quite important part of the story. He supported his mom and hated Ishita , whereas as shown in the serial, Ruhi was very fond of Ishita .

Arjun looked like his mother whereas Ruhi was a carbon copy of Raman.

So I guess from now on whatever story YHM would follow - is coming from Ekta creatives.

tfs sunaina...i feel the novel n yhm differs slightly with same concept

I suppose they have taken the basic concepts of the novel and adapted it it to the show. Idk if I want to see Aditya hate Ishita though, I hope they maintain him as an integral part of the story, but keep him on Ishita and Raman's side...but I get the feeling this won't be the case.

I forgot to mention that at the beginning Shagun gave away custody of both children to Raman to get the divorce from him as Raman was not agreeing for the divorce otherwise .

But later she filed the custody case in which Ruhi was given to Raman and Ishita , nd Arjun to Shagun and Ashok .
