I agree, a lot of Punjabi's don't eat meat, especially Sikh's. But I don't think Bhalla's are a Sikh family anyway. I think Sikh Punjabi's are the complete opposite of Bhalla's. Some people might say I'm being judgmental but the reality of the situation is that in the Punjabi Community I live in or anyone that I know has lived in it's looked down to be behaving like Toshi. If an elderly Punjabi woman was getting drunk at her kid's wedding people would find it very shameful. It's just the way I been raised, and from the value's my parent's have instilled in me, behavior like that is not okay. I know she's having fun, but honestly if you look at it realistically it would be looked down upon. I'm born and raised in Canada and even modernized Punjabi women in Canada don't drink and do that!!

Certain Sikh's who are very religious don't eat meat. The one's who are Amritshak, don't eat meat, cut their hair, or get rid of any hair. They are very strict. Their are Sikh's who do eat meat though and drink as well. I'm Sikh, and I think Sikh families are a bit more conservative. They care a lot about how they look to society, and don't ever want to be shamed.

Yeah when they show Punjabi's using swear words like Kutha, Lucha etc. It's weird, because I don't see many girls speaking that way. Maybe to their girlfriends, but not to strangers or in-front of elders.
