the word ADAA is different which means style... AADHA is different from ADAA. urdu/hindi word for half..so ADAA =style/naaz-nakhra etc ... AADHA = half... and HADHA is NO WORD that I even heard till date and that has any meaning ;)

Moreover I also noticed how this beautiful urdu/hindi language is been butchered in today's world šŸ˜† like a few examples I have noticed as many members uses totally wrong words/pronunciation for some common hindi/urdu words .
Like most members call the word AUKAAT as AUKAAD .. the real word does not have DAA at end but TAA... just like we say RAAT (night) this word AUKAAT (means "worth") is extremely miss-written allover the internet world as AUKAAD that has literally no meaning when we add DAA (D instead of T) at the end.

Also many members (and unfortunately few hosts on reality shows) use the wrong word "KATEGHRA" (witness stand) while the correct word is "KA-TEH-RAA" as there are no sounds of GHAA in between.
Also many ppl from south unnecessary use the hindi/urdu alphabet HAA (H) in some words like they wrongly pronounce "dHal" (lentils) while the correct word is "Daal" with no sound of HAA in between. also like sometimes ppl use "hoTHaa" (means happen) while the real word is "HOTA" without HAA sound..there r many examples like this.

In general it is bit sad that we are gradually forgetting to speak our language accurately. the standard hindi/urdu has been wrongly spoken and the quality of our own national language is getting sub-standard with each passing year

:(

Completely Agree with you on this..šŸ‘šŸ¼..Beautifully explained..I feel exactly the same about mispronounced and wrongly spelt words or languages..Its sad that people hardly care about these things in the name of modernization these days...

thanks :) and the sad part is that almost all of these wrongly pronounced n written words are way too basic... imo, the new generation instead of learning English first, should concentrate on their mother tongue first.

Even in pakistan, the hub of urdu, in old times of 70's 80's and even 90's in PTV (pakista television) days we have gems of dramas and writers and dialogues that should be written in gold with urdu in its purest beautiful form.. sadly even in Pakistan, the new generation and even the media is speaking sub standard street urdu since years and the situation is getting worse :(

Absolutely...I feel the same..Its an insult to languages that we do by using it upto our own convenience..And it has become more prominent after the advent of the so called Hinglish language..šŸ˜†
Ofcourse there is this age old logic that "Language is just a medium to express yourself"..But then what is the benefit..I am neither knowing my mother tongue properly..nor am I able to speak English..
Indeed the media and television is highly responsible for this..I cringe when I see people using wrong Hindi or Urdu or Bangla..I mean I understand someone not much fluent to English..But atleast I should know my mother tongue to the hilt..

I never used to find him good-looking but the more I look at his old photos the more I realise- He has a devastatingly handsome face!!

Now I understand why women lost their heads over him. šŸ˜†
