Nice take shagufta.

You have echoded my feelings.

The long hair were representing his horrendous past and his self imposed exile from life , from happines and from love .

Now since he has found Radha alive and has accepted Tara as his wife and wants to spend his life with her , the new look (hair cut) symbolizes the life changing attitude.

Wow nice post. U have really given a new significance for MJ's hair. Viraf looks good in both hairstyles. He is one if the few who can carry long locks. I remember in one of the interviews they asked why has got long hair and he said it was saba's vision of character of MJ with long hair. That means if she has planned to change that there must be a reason. Since he was in prison he had to look the part of a tormented soul. When he came they used to keep the hair a lil shabby. Bit later they changed it. Means they were showing the difference through physical appearance as well
Lastly I wud like to say long hair or not MJ is the best.

To me also the first thing that crossed my mind was he was moving on leaving the past behind. His painful past which he has travelled all alone. Now that he has someone finally to call his own, someone who will walk every step in life that he takes with him, he feels completely free from the chains which held him.

To me his hair was the chains which were binding him to his past which he has now broken free of.

I did the same as you did. I never had cut my hair from the time of my first tonsure as a kid till date. And finally last year, when I came out of so many other things in my life, I wanted a change and to move on and the first thing I did was to cut my hair. After 3 decades (from childhood, to school and college days, married life and kid) I cut my hair for the very first time. from my almost hip length hair cut in one single sweep upto my collar bones. And I felt so nice and free - it just cant be explained.

I know right! That feeling I got when I cut my hair is unexplainable but it definitely was a very liberating experience :)

MJ's hair was open when he was mistreating Tara as her husband and his hair was always tied back in a ponytail as Tara's friend!!!!😛 😛 😊 😊 😊

Now MJ is looking forward to a life with Tara and therefore his long hair had to go!!!!!

By the way I had wanted him to be in short hair in the flashback scenes as I felt he had short hair before the incident but they had shown him in long hair in that one flashback scene!!!!!
