The episode starts with Jodha and jalal were sitting under a tree all alone and looking at each other by a bonefire. Both stealing galnces at each other and giving smile. Jalal said that she might catch cold so let me light up more woods around her. He began to collect small woods. But Jodha came and throw all the woods from his hands. And said you don't have to do all this. She holds his hands( My GM was active at that moment). Jalal looks at her smiling and followed her. She and him sit at the same place. But she was still holding to his hands. But then she realised it and pulled back. Jalal asked her why she didn't let him do it? To this she replied that if the poison couldn't do anything to her then how come this cold will do to her? Jalal smiled and said that now he knew that why exactly she did it, its because she wanted to stay close to him and hold his hands and so she used this trick, in she even got successful, as she could see that no one is around, we both are alone. (OMG Jalal too has an active GM. Great for us.. rofl). Jodha blushed but covered it by saying that its not like that and started picking the woods to which Jalal smirked.
Jalal heard some unsual noise and picked a log to save them. Then only they both saw a man on horse came and told them that this place is not safe to spend the night, so they could come with him. jalal asked him his identity, to which that man said that first come with me, I will tell you all later. Jodha said that this man seems to be a good man.
They were in that man's house. His wife offered them some refreshment. Jajal and jodha told their name as Badal and kajari. Jalal asked him to tell his name. he told that he was Todarmal. His wife asked if they are newly married but jajal denied to this. Jalal saw a picture on his wall and asked him about it. Todarmal told that this is Sher Shah Suri. And he was the one who defeated present king's father Humayun. Jalal clutched his fist in anger. Jalal remembers khan baba's words that he told him about the names of some people who was responsible for the defeat of his father(sorry I couldn't remember the names) but Todarmal was the main person.
The only they heard the chaos of daku's (thieves) who attacked their village. Todarmal asked his wife to take them inside and took the sword and came out. There was a fighting sequence between village people or soldiers and thieves and Todarmal. There in the room Todarmal's wife was crying and praying to god to save his husband's life. Jodha and Jalal were also there.
Thieves surrounded Todarmal and asked him to surrender but he refused saying that he is ready to die but will not give in. they were ready to attack him but then only Jalal jumped saying that war is not ended yet. And then he started fighting and kills all the thieves. Todarmal was thinking that who is this man but he cant be a common man.
Todarmal was in his house and his wife was bandaging him. he told that Badal is not a comman man as his fighting moves were as of Mughals and his name is also not Badal.
There in Jalal's room, he is lying shirtless, jodha hissed I feeling pain while applying medicine on Jalal's wounds. Jalal said that he is wounded and she can feel that pain(precap). She asked that why he is so angry. He told that this man Todarmal was one of those men who was responsible for his father's death. And his blood is boiling now thinking that he is in his house staying for a night. She asked then why did you helped him. he said that in his presence, no cant let his people be in trouble. But he will come to take revenge from this man as a king.
There Hamida bano told Jiji anga that when Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun, Todarmal took safely all his wives to Agra as per Sher Shah Suri's instruction.
It was morning, Jalal and jodha were prepared to leave. Todarmal offered palki for Jodha but they refused. He gave Jalal shahi mohar, to which Jalal was surprised and asked him why he is giving him this ? he told that Humayun gave him as a token of thanks when he safely brought all his wife to Agra, so now as jalal saved his life, he is giving this to him. they leave. Todarmal's wife asked him that why he gave them that, he told that he has given to humayun's son. She asked that if he knew that he is shehenshah then why didn't he told him? to wich todarmal said that there may be a reason behind him to roam like a comman man.
They finally reached their destination. Jalal and jodha meets priest Chisti, he recognize them and says anybody can become king, but here is the great king jalal who will change the fortune, he says to jalal that i know things were very difficult for you in recent times and jodha you had to fight alot to make things right, jodha is surprised. He says but when you have someone by your side then things becomes easy, jalal looks at jodha, He says this is the start of new journey, you both have to go through long way but together, you will right history, jodha will write her name in mughal history by becoming Mariam us zamani, jalal is dumbstruck.
PRECAP- jalal says to rukkaiya that if you want to come with us in this journey then you have to be a common woman, look how much happy jodha is,but she says but i am not jodha.
