But If the leap happens then wont asya be married and if they aren't what's the reason who stopped them in new York? And they've been living together for 3 years and yet no marriage from someone like asad and zoya doesn't make sense.

They should be but then what about the ZoYaan nikaah being declared invalid. Or maybe they'll just brush it aside. But unless Oishi says something or we get some confirmed spoiler, I don't think we should worry about it.
