It's surprising because Rani has worked with Abhishek in several films and the two are known to be good pals. Sources close to the family say that it's this friendship between Rani and Abhishek that has resulted in the omission. Apparently Ash didn't want Rani to be invited for the wedding since she isn't exactly ecstatic about her friendship and onscreen chemistry with Abhi. Some time ago, an eyewitness told us how Ash and Rani happened to be on the same flight. Rani went up to say 'hi' to Ash, but Ash wasn't interested in any interaction. Aishwarya Rai Ash is probably not delighted by the fact that Abhishek share a brilliant on-screen chemistry with Rani Mukherji and they have had hits together, like Yuva and Bunty Aur Babli. Industry insiders say that Rani and Ash haven't been able to see eye-to-eye ever since Rani replaced the latter in Shah Rukh Khan's home production Chalte Chalte. There have been times when Rani has tried to communicate with Ash, but has received the cold shoulder. Thus, although Rani shares a good rapport with the Bachchans, she has been kept out of the guest list. Incidentally, two years ago at an award function, where Rani walked away with many awards for Black, Ash gave Rani the cold shoulder quite openly. An eyewitness says, "When they came face-to-face, Ash hugged Rani's parents, Krishna and Ram Mukherji, but ignored Rani Mukherji who was standing right beside her parents."

I just thought it was an interesting read thats why I posted it here. I can't believe Ash would be that insecure of Rani and has been rude 2 her - so much 4 her being a respectable dignified woman Then again u dont know how much truth there is 2 this article

I know Ash and Rani dont like each other..but why did Ash start it...this was before she strted to date ABhi?? 😕 😕 😕 maybe just jealous of her success...I hope they make up soon 😃 😭

I don't think this is a rumour, since I've heard members from IF itself talk abt experiences meeting Ash face to face... and they weren't that good.

Anyway, Rani is a very sucessful woman and I wish her the best for her career 👏

i wonder what will happen to ash if abhi-rani movie becomes superhit 😆 and they win jodi of the year 😉

Insecurities are a big time issues in an industry that is so media centered....

Ash's insecurities have been obvious in many a occasions and not jus this... Cant really pinpoint , but when one reads articles, her insecurites glare back ...sadly... I guess fame and fortune comes with a price and insecurities galore... for there is a lot at stake... or so they believe😉

As for the article, may be a rumor... the wedding sure seems to be stemming many of them anyway!😉

i dont blame aish...any1 in her position wud be jealous and insecure of rani..

first of all...rani is the queen of bollywood at the moment...2ndly..her on-screen chemistry with abhishek is the besttt!!! and besides all this...there was a time wen rani and aish were best fwenz...but becuz of chalte chalte....that friendship broke...

Isn't it strange how Ash's relationships with people has already started dictating Abhi's life? His close friends Salman and Vivek are not invited to the wedding, now Rani is not being invited because of Ash's supposed insecurities - these have to be more than just rumours. It's sad that deep friendships are already being sacrificed because of the bride's insecurities.

No offence to Ash fans - I am jsut observing what I read and hear...
