Okejj so I read this book a long time ago and I don't remember the title or name of the author.
I haven't read everything either. Just the beginning where the story was actually going to start.
So there is this girl, no parents and she's brought up to steal. Actually a lot of children with no parents are there. The guys are getting trained to steal and the girls probably are pimped on later age. So she has this friend in that place who masks her as a boy so she gets to steal instead of what the girls have to do. And she cuts her hair short and wears a corset like something to cover her figure.
And then there is the 'heros', a smartass rich guy who finds her in (his?) a room and directly sees she's a girl. he's quite a ladies-man but intrigued by this girl. She's sassy and tried to get away. They have a steamy kiss before that though.
At a certain point the girl leaves the place she had lived all those years and gets a job as maid. In his house. I guess they start an affair from there. That's how far i got. I remember no names and I know the chances that someone has read this book and will remember it is small. Just though of trying it.
