Status post Episode...

You are so right; sometimes I forget this Jodha and Jalal are supposed to be only in their early 20s. As young adults they are not always going to do the right thing or say the right thing. The fishbowl existence they have don't help either. But both are slowing making progress in their relationship and I absolutely loved the last few episodes.

As much as I love Jodha and Jalal and I do love them a lot, I too have a soft spot for Maham. She may be evil to the core of her being 😆 but you have to admire her shrewdness and intelligence. Maham is a master puppeteer who controls strings of many people in Agra. Especially poor Ruq. The actress who plays Maham is absolutely amazing. I am always left wondering what if she has used all her energies for good instead of evil all the time. 😆

And in that poignancy..which is brought out superbly by both actors here..is what I enjoyed the most...that despite all the grandeur and splendour of an Imperial Environment ..the court, the crown, the responsibilities, titles, privileges,unimaginable power and wealth...these are ..at their simplest and most basic...two really young and good people...learning about AMOUR... AMORE...call it whatever...in an atmosphere where privacy is an un- discovered concept.. ...where there is 0, nada, zilch..personal space to discover and dream and revel in such feelings..

Forget picking a phone and yakking away at 11 pm for 2 hours about this certain guy..or gal...with your bestest buddy...here there are no confidantes... And these two young souls were learning about trust , friendship and affection...and progressing towards developing the strongest bond of faith and love..I hope this was true for the real Jalal and Jodha/Harka/...

That would be ...for moi...my sincerest wish for those two souls..

And then, to come crash bang to Earth with a loud thud...there is the Witless-In-Chief ...beeweee no.1...carrying 0 grey matter...because she has the thinnest blood brain barrier ever known...jab blood is boiling...then brain cells is cooking...when brain cells cooking...Akkal going fail...then gussa and jealousy chakki peesing and peesing...and when that happens... (Help!)...pots get hurled..mirrors get broken...total loss of furniture...

man..good thing that Bull Dude had carpenters on payroll...warna to uska treasury would have been wiped out...constantly doing rescue and repair...and there were sooo many begums...Bechara!

And then shall Emerge the bipolar Scribbie...or scriptwriter...because the intelligent one who must have penned the last few epi's...is surely on a well earned vacation...

so what follows will be Narcissa...with a steam filled head...in steam filled bathtub..which will have a 0 cooling effect...being egged on by Cruella Deville BigMomma...who is now hatching her next plot for chaos and mayhem ...the woman really...really hates peace and quiet...( I have to say here that I LOVE.. unhesitatingly... LOVE this character ..the most..and am in unstinted awe of Dame Kalsekar ..who plays her to brilliance ...)... The serial would be so boring without her...

Add to that ..bandicoot BIL..( BIL...brother in law).., looking to tunnel his way outta the leaky cauldron of a dungeon on the dupatta tails of his own personal Helen...someone please tell him that Paris he ain't..and Snort and Smoke Bull would barbecue him to a crisp...if he does the Damsel kidnap that is now brewing on the cards..

What would the fuse-bulb Adha M ( Adha mind) be doing is left to your guesses...coz figuring that one out..taxes MY brain cells...I'd much rather that job be left to his sweet but nitwit spouse...I do like that character ..I admit..and she is also played to the nines...

So for now...all is well in Mughal Gaul... There's is going to be another Jashn..( damn dude!...not again..phir Teri band bajegi)...thankfully there is no Non-sane Cacophonix here to be tied up against a tree..

Hah..just discovered a new title for beewee 1.. I shall call her IMPEDIMENTA...yeayyy!!!

It was definitely the episode I was looking for in a long long time. Simple conversations with the right dose of humor/teasing/sensuality.

And...Can Jodha continue to dress in this manner for some more time?..Without heavy jewels she looks divine!

For me this was one of the best episode.

And at this point every misgiving I had since November has faded!
