Being a criminal is not a ground for divorce in Hindu marriage Act - that is courts will not immediately give divorce to wife of a criminal. In Ganga's case only ground was cruelty towards her (and not any criminal act of Rat) and it takes years to prove cruelty in courts. Ganga not only completed her education even got married and delivered a son in one year period. And Mannu is not going to a play school. That is clear from Nandu's gift also. In Delhi age of admission of a child to nursery is 4+, may be in Jaitsar they start sending the children to school at 2+.

If someone is criminal, it is not proved that he was cruel to his wife also. Numerous divorce cases remain pending in court - thats what I said in my post. Nobody gets express divorce just because the husband was in jail for some criminal act.
