It's just a bad feeling for us who are really hoping to see a love story. It was already hard to accept them after the way Paro was abused...but now it just feels bad knowing that he has a relationship with someone for 8 long years. I am an extremely progressive person from CA and I am feeling this way...just imagine what the trp aunties will feel😕...I am sure many visualize Paro as their daughters or nieces...will they want a daughter with such a man? Nope. I wouldn't. I have a 3 yr old. My aunt has already refrained from watching RR because of Rudra/ Laila and the violence.

SAME HERE EVEN MY MOM WHO IS A REGULAR VIEWER OF RR DOES NOT LIKE RUDRA LAILA SCENES AND WHEN THEY FOCUS MORE ON THEM THERE IS TOO MUCH NEGATIVITY .ITS LIKE PARO HAS COME IN BETWEEN THE "8 YEARS RELATIONSHIP OF LAILA AND RUDRA" WHICH IS REALLY HARD TO DIGEST.ITS LIKE PARO IS BETTER OFF WITH SOMEONE ELSE .I SERIOUSLY DON'T LIKE THE WAY THEY TREAT PARO .I WANT SOME LIGHT HEART MOMENT NOT SUCH A SAD TRAGIC STORY.I CAN'T SEE PARO GETTING HUMILIATED AGAIN AND AGAIN WHICH IS TOTALLY FRUSTRATING FOR ALL OF US🤢😭

Nice topic, beautiful analysis. Loved reading it.
I for one is now enjoying the show with what's happening. I see a realisation in Dilsher for the sin he committed in the upbringing of his son.
As for Rudra, Paro And Laila equation, I'll wait for CV's to tell it their way. Till now RR kept me hooked and i'm hoping it would get better.

Lovely post and very apt title!

You are absolutely right, the father's mistakes have entwined with his son's, even their thought process has been interwoven. He has indeed casted a lasting shadow on his son's presence, something that seems to be following him around even after so long. Rudra's father has his reasons for not trusting women, however I think it is only now that he is starting to realize the sort of impact his previous words had on Rudra, the way they are imprinted in his very being. Every time Dilsher mentions Paro, Rudra throws his own words back at him, and Dilsher can do nothing but stare in silence and have the guilt slowly creep up on him. Rudra's trust issues will be one of the major ices to break here and we could blame it on his father of course, but we could also partially blame it on Rudra himself. Is it too late? I guess we shall find out!

Rudra on the other hand, the 8 year thing was a bit of a shocker for me I will admit. Sure, he should not have encouraged it all to go on for so long, because after looking at the expression on her face after mentioning a woman, he seemed to have realized what the future may hold. But, I guess Laila is a grown woman and she knew what she was signing up for. If she knew that there would be no love from his side, why bother? Because, she has feelings for him. And I'm sure that it would have been hard to tear away from that point, but after 8 long years it would have been better for her to not keep any expectations from him. Laila is definitely here to stay, the possessive glint in her eyes is only a teaser for what is to come! I like how all these characters are flawed, and I will sit back, enjoy, and hope for the best!😊

Lovely response Emma...I just love reading such in depth analysis...makes it all worth!!
Yes, Dilsher had his own demons to slay, his own battles to fight, where he went wrong was to involve Rudra in the same. Something tells me this is just the tip of the iceberg. Dilsher and Rudra both right now don't have a clue to what an extent the past and Dilsher's words have damaged Rudra's psyche and existence. Dilsher will regret his words and actions a hundred fold when these very words will become the reason for Rudra and Paro's utter devastation. Coz however hard Rudra tries he just cannot leave these words behind...they are ingrained in him, they have become an integral part of his mentality.
About Laila and Rudra...Rudra loneliness and need for some release and companionship are the culprits to blame. An 8 year old relationship is sometimes as good as a marriage cause both of them have become used to each other, too familiar, it becomes a habit that is hard to break. The problem, although Rudra never promised anything and Laila is living in a fool's paradise if she expects anything out of a man who just shares a bed even after eight years, is that whenever Rudra walks away now, he will shoulder some of this blame. He was honest but eight years leave him tainted too as it raises a loyalty issue. What upset me was that it gives Laila a strong upper hand here, she can rightfully act wrong, and still not carry any blame.

@Emma and @Rapunzale...The show was always presented as a dark and intense love story and the beginning episodes just confirmed their treatment and attitude. In that sense I cannot complain, they are delivering what they had promised. And like you all, I was fine with the Rudra and Laila equation too, just thinking its a mature and realist love story, and looking at Rudra's characterization it felt totally logical. Yesterday threw me for a loop. Eight years of fidelity on one side, eight years of emotions invested, eight years of love and caring ( although from one side) has to be rewarded. Laila is definitely a negative character but with one sentence she justified all her actions, right or wrong. Whatever she does in the future, for some of us, it is understandable. And when a viewer can identify with a vamp, its not easy to make the leads look good. If Rudra walks out now with Paro, inspite of his honesty, he ends up looking negative. The cvs should have kept this psychological issue in mind too. About the regression, honestly, its not that bad. There are some shows on TV that actually make me cringe. At least they have showed a rural background here and a barely educated village girl which kind of lends some semblance of sanity to the show. Also Rudra is a soldier so his actions to have validated to quite an extent. Whatever the actions, be it violence, cruelty, subjugation, so far has been justified by the tale and backdrop, but the million dollar question being are our audiences ready for such shows?? Can such dark shows make a place for themselves in a TRP ruled corporate equation??

Totally not agree with you.so paro yet to see her worst just because of rudra and his father's sins, really surprised how this wicked thakur can be exempted, who killed her parents, fixed her marriage to fulfill his evil motives and if rudra fought with so much bravery for his motherland and for the honour of his national flag he committed a sin and now when thakur again try to kill paro he again will be exemted and if again rudra will save paro he will again commit a sin. WMy dear it will be rudra who can save her from thakur. Sorry not agree with your analysis.paro is facing worst becoz of thakusa not becoz of rudra who is doing everything to nab thakur sa.
