Past Sins Cast Long Shadows!!

Dilsher, what a waste!! The senior Ranawat killed himself slowly and painfully by drinking the bitter poison of betrayal, the major part of his life. For years, he nurtured the corrosive acid of anger, hatred and resentment in his heart. An acid that ate away his soul. An acid that overflowed and turned his son's life into a smoldering wilderness. The father's lonely existence assured the son's loner attitude. Dilsher's darkness tainted his son's sight forever. At the sunset of his life, he may have started realizing the folly and futility of hanging on to an unforgiving past, but may be its too late for his son. He might be ready to forgive and forget but he never taught Rudra how to. The father might now wish a better future for his son, but he cannot erase the past he gifted Rudra. His eyes today spoke of the realization that he created a monster.A sad, lonely, bitter, distrustful monster. Try as he might, certain mistakes cannot be corrected. Some errors cannot be rectified, some scars cannot be healed. Whatever Rudra is today, Dilsher had a huge hand in shaping him, and today the enormity of his past mistakes, smacked him right in the face. Sometimes its too late and then sometimes its not...only time will tell.

The junior Ranawat on the other hand has had his own share of sins. And his sin has been continuing for long...too long...8 years indeed! A loner like him, who likes his own space, should not have encouraged or abetted an obsessive lover like Laila. Tonight you could see the doubts peeking in from Rudra's intense eyes. May be he had made a mistake. Rudra has a mind of his own. He is his own master. He might have ignored and avoided Laila's possessiveness in the past, but tonight's encounter did ring a warning bell in his psyche. His dalliance with Laila is going to create complications. In his quest for freedom from any commitment, he has gone ahead and shackled himself to a nightmare. Laila has all the signs of a desperate woman, a woman who can go to any lengths to get what she wants. Rudra might have started realizing the wrongness of his actions, but the coming days are only going to make him regret more and more. Laila's obsessive and possessive tentacles will slowly squeeze and suffocate.

Ironically, these past sins commited by Dilsher and Rudra, promise to engulf an innocent Paro in their long shadows. The sinless will end up paying the price for the sinners.
