Yeah, me knows writing a post like this with all the drama going on in the forum is stupid. But trust me or not, (and I don't really care if you don't), this has been coming for a long time. I wanted to make this post but always got tied up in something or the other. So, the fact that I am a crazy Shakti Mohan fan is a bit too obvious, I guess. what most people don't know and my close friends do, is I love Sneha Kapoor.
My love affair with Sneha was not instantaneous like with Shakti. No, it developed over time slowly until i placed both my two divas on the same pedestal. And that is quite a feat. You see, I am one of those people who voted for Shakti in DID. And the whole USP of D3 was Shakti for me. I was not very fond of Sharon at first sight. She was my favorite's rival afterall. But then i messed up Sneha and Sharon. But amidst all that dislike, there was still that occassional "Damn, this girl is good." from me. You know I have previously seen cinevistaas production shows and I know what most characters that are bitchy in the beginning are headed towards. Non-Existence. Yaa, believe it or not, Cinevistaas had a tendency to do that. And at times, I used to think that this lady is brilliant both dance and acting wise. Why did she not take up a better offer? But soon, I got to know why. Because Sneha knew (Atleast I believed she did) that she had it in her to make Sharon likable. And oh my, did she? With those beautiful doe like eyes and wonderfully open expression she gained a whole new fandom for her. The change to sneha's fan started for me with RDX party. At first, I was like what new trouble will Sharon create now? I had no idea that the trouble would be converting me into a fan. That moment when Sharon let down her guard in her drunken stupor and I was awarded a glance at the magnificient creature underneath all that haughtiness. That was the start of my affair. Then came her interviews where try as I might I could not catch a glimpse of Sharon in Sneha. Nope, Sneha Kapoor was innocently naive and wonderfully gullible. And then I realised the amount of effort this beautiful shy girl must put into becoming SRP. And then came the day, Shakti left the show. I vowed to myself I wont watch the show when the new girl entered. It was just too painful. And yet I found myself tuning to d3 just to see if Sneha was on. There were times when I caught sight of the new couple that was made and it left me sick to my stomach. (I am a kriyansh fan.) But yet I did not stop. And then one fine day I asked myself, why I uned into d3 to see sneha when it left me sick to my stomach? And that was the day I found out that I am a Sneha Kapoor fan.
Sharon was not meant to be a heroine,going by what the previous cinevistaas shows have taught me. But Sneha singlehandedly with her brilliance made Sharon a lead. An integral part of d3 without whose character d3 was unimaginable. She portrayed layers beautifully. Her real life humility is not hidden. That lady has a backbone of steel and her honesty is refreshing. It takes guts to say the truth.
And at the conclusion, it is my ardent hope and desire that perhaps someday Sneha will find a character that will suit her taste. because even if it is the most mundane of characters Sneha Kapoor will breathe life into it. Here's to hope. Hope of seeing the diva back on my screen.
P.S- I have not said nor implicated anything deragotary in my post. You have a problem then scrap me. Also, if you have nothing appreciative to say about Sneha than refrain from commenting. And also a kind reminder, loving arsha don"t mean I am confined to them. One can be a fan of many and this is a matter of simple logic, don't ya think?
