I know its QH and I have stopped expecting logic from it. But there is a difference between disjoint storytelling and sweeping a key characteristic under the rug. Zoya has been attacked twice (involving fire). She has seen it and she didn't get any nightmares? I thought while Gaffur was watching her sleep she may have reacted after Razia took Gaffur out of the room (that way the reveal is postponed and Gaffur sees the trauma he indirectly inflicted).
Is Zoya over it or is this just another absurd thing Qubool Hai is doing?

she was unconscious when Raziya set fire! and they showed some flashbacks!

the second time after bomb blast she was out of danger and she had someone strong to support! she should forget everything her saddrss or phobia when Asad is around! she isnt alone to feel distress!

I agree with surbhiholic!! She was unconscious at the time Razia set the place on fire, and during the bomb time, she wasn't in the middle of the fire, she'd run away from it. But anyway that aside, I'm quite sure they're intentionally avoiding this fact just to drag it out before Zoya finds out that she was the one in the gudiya factory, since they've just revealed to Gaffur that he's Zoya's father at long last. I guess they can't make too many revelations at the same time, it is after all a daily soap haha.

Agreed, previously those dreams were necessary and important to establish her back story and reveal that to the audience and also make a connection between Asad and Zoya.

Now that is not needed at all. When the time is right for the revelation that its her mom there and she was stuck there, the phobia shall return.

Its a daily soap 😃

Zoya was unconscious when Razia set the fire...she did wake up for a bit but she still fainted again after that in Asad's arms...and as for the bomb blast...they may not have shown the flashbacks as per usual...but it was quite obvious that she was still afraid of the fire...the way she covered her face in Asad's arms not looking at the fire after that...that was shock plus fear in her reaction...

I am not against character development, quite the opposite actually, I am a sucker for good character development. I remember during the "find the paper" saga she had a nightmare (when they revealed to us Haider's connection) and she went to sleep with Dilshad. She even said "I thought I had gotten over my past, but no it still haunts me." I guess Asad is her strength and that's why she is in peace... like when Asad is around he keeps the nightmares away.

as u said don't expect an iota of logic from this series I am now noticing scenes taken from Bollywood movies and integrated into QH storylines... firstly Dil. then dil hai... and soon dil to pagal hai that rip pants seen with haider... and probably others I miss. originality has gone from this show 🥱
