I found this quite interesting...
when saawariya came and flopped miserably and heyy babyy was a superhit, when guzaarish came and did no where the amount of business as Housefull, i remember sajid analyzing these films saying how SLBs films wont run at the '"ticket khidki" because hes too indulgent and arty...whereas his will because he keeps the audience's interests in mind...

cut to 2013, Ram Leela is a Blockbuster and Himmatwala sank without the trace...and both were massy entertainers...

Did SLB suddenly become more clued in to the audience pulse, or did sajid suddenly lose it? I keep thinking this film and RR are like SLBs answers to those who kept telling him to make more people pleasing films during his down years...

SLB made masala to take revenge on Sajid. Sajid should make a bit sensible movie as a revenge. The outcome would be good.

He doesn't have the qualifications to since he's an idiot and can only make nonsensical comedy films. It's unfortunate really...😭

It is just a matter of luck of the draw.

People were tired of mindless entertainers and Himmatwalla panned. For a while these kind of films will lay low and they will have a spurt again in the future making Sajid Khan the top box office grosser.

Saawariya and Guzaarish were artsy and dull. This time SLB took a leaf out of HDDCS and Devdas. Ram Leela had the music and colors of desi culture and a time tested romance formula. Tomorrow SLB will experiment with some more dull stuff and flop.

Guzaarish was such a beautiful movie. But masala movies were the rage that time. So I can understand it flopping. But Sajid Khan is such an arrogant man. And he makes terrible movies.
