Filmfare Awards Venue

Since 2007, Filmfare is getting organized at YRF studio.

At the first time, I read that they want to plan it on the lines of Oscars which takes place at Kodak theater - an indoor venue.

But YRF studio seems very small for such a huge award function. Also it's no where near to the Kodak which is really big.

Don't you think it's better to organize it outdoor than such a small venue.

What do you think?

I was thinking the same while watching the show after missing last few years'. The stage was too small for the choreographer to show something amazing.

I remember the first time the award was hosted inside YRF studios, SRK, who was the host, joked about how everyone was heaving a sigh of relief as there were no mosquitoes this time 😆

I actually liked this year's stage. Infact LOVED it! Esp during Madhuri and Priyanka's performance. But yes, they do need a bigger stage once in a while. I don't know why, even once Star Parivaar Awards were held at YRF studios and the stage was so big. Wonder how the Filmfare Awards stage looks so small. They look like some reality show sets.😆 But like I said, I loved this year's because of the 3D screen.

The best award stages of any Indian award functions are either the IIFA Awards or the Stardust Awards. AMAZING! Better than the Oscars stage!

Yes, IIFA and Stardust have great stages and it should be like that.

Filmfare are the most prestigious of them all and the small stage doesn't justifies its stature.

I miss the big stages Filmfare had and the live performances by the stars. Like many stars and not just Katrina-Kareena-Deepika.

I hope they first focus on the awards and hosting & then think of changing the venue😆 The hosting and performances have been blah for quite sometime now😆

I remember back in the day when filmfare was held at tiny Shanmukananda (sp?) Hall.

Nah, you don't need huge outdoor venues. Even Kodak Theater isn't extravagant. Oscars are organized like an intimate event. It all depends on creativity and making the most of space. Taking filmfare outdoors would blow it out of proportion.
