I just thought of a plot line ... #brainwave
*I am thinking the girl could be Surbhi and the guy could be Karan Wahi or Sushant Singh Rajput. The friend could be KSG. Imagine the heat waves!
---A girl has a crush on a nice guy. The guy is great looking, friendly and very kind. But he keeps his distance. This grows more intrigue in the girl as it enhances his mysterious appeal.Their families somehow arrange their marriage and both seem pretty happy about it. The girl is thrilled though! After a few weeks of marital bliss, the girl falls totally in love with the guy. He appreciated her wanting to take time to get to know each other. They decided to court after marriage. And how she was wooed! The guy turned out to be everything the girl hoped for-- the perfect boyfriend. Of course, he was a bit too sensitive, but she could handle that.
Few months later the courtships finishes. But still, the girl notices that guy is not too keen to take the relationship forward. She makes a few bold moves, but he reluctantly (or so it seemed) rejects her. She tries to find a reason for this and tries to talk to this friends and family. All of them avoided the topic or digressed from it right away. Did he not love her? But he sure seems to like her and loves spending time with her. They had become each other's best friends.This gave her enough reasons to speculate that maybe he was gay. The thought broke her. When she approached the guy, he doesn't deny it. Both come to terms to what a mess their lives have become, and cry together.
The guy could never dream of coming out, even if it was an open secret to everyone he knew. The society he lived in could never accept him, he knew. He requested the girl to continue being his wife on paper and best friend in secret. She was distraught once again. As it is, she already loves this guy to pieces, and now he is in need. How could she leave him? She decides to live with him and continue playing wife. Life became fairly simple for them for a while.
A few years in, the girl still loves the guy, but begins to feel wasted and barren. She yearns for a man's love. And so her attention is diverted to other men. This is when the guy's friend comes to stay at their place for a few weeks. There is instant attraction. The attraction leads to sexual chemistry and then to love. Romance blooms. The guy notices the gradual attraction, and feels sad. But he lets them be. He does not get in the way. Sometimes he would stay back at work late so that they could spend time with each other. By the end of the friend's stay, he was head of heels in love with the girl and was determined to make him hers.
The friend has an honest conversation with the guy. About how he always knew that the guy was gay all along. About how he did not intend to fall with love with his wife, but it just happened. But now, he doesn't want to stop it, he wants this happiness. With tears in his eyes, the guy happily says he'll send the divorce papers. However, before leaving, the guy says "take good care of my best friend". The two guys hug.---

*Okay, is there seriously no TV series with this storyline yet? I don't find my story very original so I'm sure it's out there somewhere. Would be great if I knew about it. :) And how's the story?
