Very very well said Kiran... 👏 👏
I absolutely agree with you that no matter what the circumstances are ... it is not ok for any man to raise his hand on a woman. You've said it all... and I do hope it resonates with everyone who reads this.

I am in total agreement with everything you say. Men must never, ever raise their hand on a woman... it is very wrong and it is as simple as that.

Kiran when I read the subject line I was shocked and was so upset that I thought of blasting you for writing such a post. I am glad that I read it first and got what you were trying to convey. Very well written and totally agree with you. Nobody, I mean nobody has any right to abuse any female - abuse of any kind. I did not know that members in this forum want this. Very sad to know that being females they want DV to slap Saachi. And what is the fault of Saachi? Even if she is at fault DV has No right to slap her.
It seems our culture, traditional values are giving away to more western culture. We are not believing in giving, sacrifices, listening and respecting our elders... The newer generation is very self centered now and only thinks in terms of TAKING... The concept of giving in love is vanishing. No matter how much fault or mistakes hero makes, heroine is always blamed. Reel or real life physical abuse is never justified and should not be shown or tolerated.

Western culture does heavily penalise abuse against and hitting women- definitely not accepted and punished. However, yes 'listening and respecting our elders' is lacking in Western culture and the love and affection must be learnt from countries like India. I do agree with you... all kinds of relations crumble around me. I am one of the lucky few to have very strong familial bonds... but this issue in society does worry me.
