Ok, so I've never written a post of my own on the forum before, but some of the opinions voiced here lately has me bothered, shocked and slightly terrified to be honest. Since there are a number of really young, impressionable girls on the forum, I felt there's something that needs to be put out there.
There are NO circumstances under which it is OK for a man to hit a woman. The only rare, possible exception is if the woman is attacking the man physically and he does it in self-defense because he's in mortal danger.
Please do not condone or justify that kind of behavior in any relationship, in reel or real life. It is not OK.
If you think it is ok, the men around you, those influenced by you, will also think its ok. You cannot make excuses for those men. And please, if you are ever in a relationship where a man raises his hand on you, walk away, from him and from the relationship.
Have a sense of your own worth as women. If you have no respect for yourself and for your own kind, you can't expect it from others.
So NO, contrary to what the subject title suggests, DV SHOULD NOT slap Saachi. Not if she refuses his love, not if she insults him, not if she kicks him out of her life again.. not for anything. A self-respecting gentleman knows when to walk away, and that he doesn't become more of a MAN by raising his hand on a woman and 'putting her in her place'.
P.S. I don't mean to target any particular member/members with this post. If you don't agree with what I've said, please don't feel offended. Just think about what I'm saying.
