Yeah, I have watched a lot of unhappy and disturbing Japanese dramas..Take for example I just finished watching Last Friends..Gosh, I thought the hero in Summer Desire was obsessive, but talk about OCD, and extreme abusive relationship..I was drained and spent after watching this one..😡

Nah, I believe K dramas are fantasy..I mean there isn't any drama where I felt this depicted real life..maybe some of the family dramas, but that happens in Indian TV series too. Most of the K dramas are unrealistic so I like to watch them b/c hardly that happens to one in real life. J dramas don't usually have a cold billionaire heroes and the truly depict life lessons and depth. But, K dramas that is what there MO is..lol..I like that since I read lots of YA novels on coldhearted billionaires as well. There has to be a hero who is cold and arrogant..I have no problems w/ that even if they are repetitive, I still watch them.

Thai dramas can be found on here w/ eng sub. But, if you want to watch revenge/slap dramas be ready for rape scenes in them..They are usually like that, and so if you feel averse to it don't watch it..They never really show the rape scene of course, they just show the hero trying to forcefully have a physical relationship w/ her, and it is mostly b/c he thinks she betrayed or cheated on him.

If you are an avid reader, you'll notice that most of these slap/kiss Thai drama are taken from very old Mills and Boons novels. Their heroes remind me of the author Charlotte Lamb's old Harlequin romance. SInce, I have read most of hers, I don't really have a dislike to those kind of scenes. Of course, I wish that not to happen to anyone in real life. But, since it is a drama and the heroine does make the hero grovel, it is okay. But, the newer Thai dramas have fewer of these kind of dramas. The other ones don't interest me that much. And, I had always wished to see those old Mills and Boons novels turn into films/dramas, and Thai dramas provide that to me.

If you want recommendations i can provide you w/ a list!

Thanks for the link😃😛
A list of some of ur fav or recommended dramas would be of so much help as well. The rape scenes if they don't show it i won't mind watching it.

Here is the thread on the recommended Thai dramas!

Kaew Tah Pee
Punya Chon Kon Krua - Highly recommended! hilarious drama!

And, also here are some of the other ones.
..Of course there are a lot of new ones that came out like Mere Jum Pen, Where the Sky meets the Sand, The Star courts the Moon, 3 Musketeers Series (all are on Viki, I loved all three stories immensely especially of the reporter) , Sud Sai Paan (new drama, but this one is highly recommended! The actor is HOT and real kissing scenes! Lol), Pretend Love, Samee (the old version on viki), Dok Ruk Rim Tang, Pin Anong, Hua Jai Sila, Koo Gum, Rahut Rissaya and Majurat See Nam Peung (Ken, love him! My personal favorite this year apart from Sud Sai Paan)!

Also on the website I provided you, you'll notice genre lakorns on the top, Click on that, scroll down and look for revenge dramas and family series. Those dramas are my personal favorites!

And, for rape scenes, this is how it goes!

The hero holds her wrist down on the bed, and tries to forcefully kiss her, when he is doing that the heroine just turns her head around so to avoid the kiss, and then they show their hands geld tightly together and the scene fades away!

Sawan Biang is the best Thai Drama for me (and for many other people as well)!! That drama has more than one rape scene, so if you think you can get over that, and not feel as if you are going to faint I highly recommend this one as this drama broke all sorts of records and got many awards! Ken and Anne make the best pairing and these two have more than 3 dramas together and I have watched and loved every one of them. b/c Ken is just too handsome, and Anne is beautiful!😃

You use Viki?? I used to use Viki earlier when they had fewer ads. Hate Viki these days. The ads never seem to stop. I used another old website now which has fewer ads which I used years ago before I found viki. Dramafever is even worse than viki, horrible experience!
