Saraswatichandra Written Update 22nd January 2014

- Vidyachatur funnily shows off and asks Guniyal how he was looking, to which she taunts him that he's asking as though it's his engagement ceremony. He replies saying that she's definitely looking as pretty as she was looking during their engagement, years ago. Dadaji overhears and they share a laugh. He then asks for the whereabouts of Saras, but everyone tells him not to stress and that Saras would definitely reach in time.

- In Kumud's room, Badimaa enters and sees that Kumud is busy trying to reach Saras over the phone. She comes and tells her to get ready, but Kumud exclaims her worry that Saras is unreachable, like last time. Badimaa tells her not to think about the previous incidents, and she should get ready, in the mean time Saras would be back home. Kumud is reluctant and thinks to herself where Saras would be.

- On the other hand, Kusum is worried too, and she tries getting in touch with Saras, who is shown riding a bicycle as fast as he can to get back. Kalika comes back home after her evil deed, and prays that no one sees her enter. Fortunately enough Yash spots her and asks where she was all this while. His mom too comes there and taunts that being the daughter-in-law she should be here helping out. Kalika is freaked out and stammers saying that she had gone to the temple to pray for Kumud's long lasting happiness. Kalika asks when Saras is going to arrive. This suddenly catches everyone's attention and they ask how she found that Saras is not here since she has just arrived. Kalika freaked out again and says that she did not see his car outside, hence she assumed this. She decides to run off before anyone suspects her and says she would go get ready. As she leaves, Yash notices her torn dupatta, and asks her how it happened. She recalls how it got stuck in the tyre, and brushes the topic off.

- In her room, Kumud is cries remembering Saras, and asks why he hasn't arrived till now. She sees his drawing and cries even more holding it. Saras on the other tries hard to get a lift, but in vain. He finally sees a car and decides to stop by hook or crook. He stands on the road, but the car hits him. Kumud suddenly feels something bad has happened. But Saras is fine. The car driver stops and Saras requests to get lift since he needs to urgently get somewhere. The man agrees and Saras is delighted.

- Back at home, everyone is worried since almost all the guests have arrived and there is no trace of Saras. The man who gave lift to Saras asks where he wants to go so quickly? Saras proudly says that he is getting married and that it's his engagement today, and his would-be-wife will be waiting for him. The man congratulates him. They finally reach the Desai Mansion, and Saras invites the man inside. He disagrees and says that he would come next time.

- Saras rushes inside inside. Kumud is praying for Saras, and just then he arrives and sees him standing there. She rushes to him with teary eyes and hugs him. He hugs back happily, and asks her if she got scared seeing that he hasn't arrived? Kumud says she knew that would come this time round.

- She the notices his wound and questions what happened, to which he says that it was a result of him wanting her to wear his mom's saree. Kumud chides saying that Saras is the one who told her not to, and now... He tells her to allow him to complete his sentence, and explains that he had gone all the way to Rampur to get this chunari fixed. He then tells her that she has to wear this today, and now his dream of her, him, and him mother being together is fulfilled. They hug emotionally as Saras dresses Kumud in his mom's saree and the background score plays.

- At the hall everyone is still worried and Kalika is smirking thinking that everyone would soon have to leave since Saras won't come in time. Just then everyone sees Saras and Kumud enter the hall holding hand in hand and smiling. Everyone else applauds their presence and is happy while Kalika is left thinking what exactly happened and how could Saras arrive in time.

- Saras takes the blessings of Dadaji and Badi Maa notices Saraswati's saree on Kumud. Kumud informs how Saras went all the way to Rampur to get this fixed for her. Badi Maa is proud of Saras and hugs him, everyone is emotionally happy while Kalika is angry at Kumud's favorable destiny.

PRECAP: Sarad and Kumud finally get engaged. Everyone is smiling while Kalika thinks to herself that she needs to hatch a new plan to separate SaMud.
