Just watching other shows created by Sid T and found some common concepts/themes:

  1. Kate hue sar - this has been done to death (no pun intended) in Porus but there is plenty of this in Razia Sultan too. 😆

  2. Tipping over a "bowl" of fire - we've seen Alexander do this twice already: once over the strategy table in Taxila, and then when setting the lookout post on fire to test his mud pack. There was a similar scene in Razia Sultan too. 😉

  3. The way snakes are used in Porus and Razia Sultan.

  4. Naqaab scenes - both in Porus and Razia Sultan.

  5. Wedding outfit worn in Bactria by Alexander in Porus, was also worn by Mirza in Razia Sultan. 😉

  6. Hammaam scenes, of course, common to both Porus and Razia Sultan. In fact the hammaam set itself and a lot of the corridors are exactly the same. 😆

  7. Massacre scene in Porus and Razia Sultan, heavily inspired by GoT's Red Wedding scene of course. The scene of Alexander killing Phiiip's wives and children reminded me of The Godfather, all that was happening when Michael Corleone was at the baptism of his nephew and here it was during the funeral rites of Philip.

  8. Alexander's throne is the same as Razia Sultan's one, with a good spray-paint job.

  9. Alexander ko naa sunne ki aadat nahin hai, aur nahi Mirza ko.

If you guys have spotted any others, then please add here. I will too. 😆

i havent watched razia sultan ...so i cant compare it with that. ...but i have listened a song from the show...mere maulaa.
.which i lovee...ayesha introduced me to that song. I feel siddharth sir is in love with mahabharata too...the whole anusuya treated by shivdutt when he took over the empire was so inspired by draupadi scenario.

Razia Sultan in PURE fiction! 😆 But its story line and presentation are very interesting. Moreover the love story of the lead pairs and their performances will make you admire the show much more. Yes, its title song is very much soulful and fits in very well. I missed that show when it was aired but now I am happy watching it. 😃
The similarities listed here are so true! 🤣

10. Razia wore a similar mask while disguised as Sultan as Puru wore during fight with the Persian fighters in PR.

11. Challenging marriages - While Mirza satirically says to Razia ' Ab hum bhi dekhte hain ki aap us buddhe se kaise nikah karti hain', Laachi asserts here 'aaj kisi ne hamare vivah ko chunauti di hai'.

12. Sneaking into hamaams- Both Mirza and Alexander did that. Alexander did it deliberately but Mirza slipped in by mistake. 😆

13. Cancelling Marriages at the end moment - Kanishk and Barsine as well as Sultan Yaldose and Razia.

14. Taking advantage of occasions- Darius took advantage of marriage celebration and sneaked in his soldiers while Shah Turkan sneaked in weapons in Tajposhi ceremony.

Moreover Shah Turkan and Ruknuddin gave me vibes of Shivdutt and Kanishk. 😆

Ah yes! That mask! No wonder it looked so familiar! 😆

I wish we'd get another hammaam scene. Rohit was swimming in Dasyulok, so maybe that's what we'll have to be content with for now if that makes the final cut.

Marriages are a farce in this show - they are only catalysts for bigger disasters, starting with the Anusuya-Bamni one that eventually ended up in treachery and bloodshed for both kingdoms. 😕

I used to hate Shah Turkan, the character, but I must say at least she was great at scheming and her thought process was very clear, unlike Shivdutt who only widened his eyes and came up with ideas without head or tail. But Kanishk is less of a coward than Ruknuddin, who always had too much Rooh Afza. 😆
