I'm not saying Anusuya didn't stand up to her brother. What I'm saying is that she keeps talking about them being a united family, but the PR family is not at all united. They had a lot of internal battles, just like the Macedonian royal family did. This happens everywhere, but Anusuya is generalizing as if it only happened in Macedonia and never in Bharat.
Alexander did let Porus go in Faras - he stopped his men from chasing them. Vishuddhi could do nothing as he was resistant to poison. There is no way the Pauravengers could have escaped if Alexander had continued to chase them.Maybe Anusuya does not know about this.
Edit: Also, there's a huge difference between the Macedonian army, which is united despite being made up of soldiers from all of Alexander's empire who are far from home and battle-hardened plus successful, and the PR army that clearly has loyalty issues.
@Red - This point, I think, has been repeated several times ever since that episode was telecasted. But still, it renders no impact.😆
I personally think that both the times Puru is said to have spared Alexander's life, he has done it to save his own honour. First time, it was due to Barsine's betrayal that Puru was able to place sword on Alexander's neck. Second time, it was due to Chanakya's cheap strategy. If Puru had killed him in any of these circumstances, it would not have been called an act of bravery which all Indians are supposed to possess by assertion in this show. 😆
I didn't like Alexander shooting arrows on Puru in between the gladiator fight. But soon, I realized that those wounds were completey ignored by the CVs. When Chanakya had used that medicine on Puru's injured hands, I thought he will also take care of those six arrow wounds, but no, that didn't happen. So, I also ignored them the same way Puru did. 😆
I don't know why the CVs made Alexander utter 'kal paurav shah ka kata hua sar mere kadmon mein hoga' before he left for PR. He clearly didn't go to kill him. He went weaponless with just a few soldiers. Even then, if we say, he had planned to kill him then why didn't he throw that spear at Puru in the first go when he could do so? I won't ever believe that Alexander missed his target! 😉
Coming to the current track, Alexander sent Barsine to make Chanakya suspecious of her sudden visit and was successful in trapping him. Yes, he used her. But this, in no way, can be aligned with the way Chanakya is planning to use Olympias.
It was basically a 'hisab-barabar' between Alexander and Chanakya. Firstly Chanakya successfully trapped him but he made his way out and now Chanakya did the same. Now, it is Chanakya, who is dragging this further. CGM ka future to 'gard' mein jata dikh raha hai! 🤣
