Tulasi narrates her story about how she had left the house in good faith that her husband will get remarried, & in the process, went to the anadhai illam, escaped from there, & finally was chased by the goondas, before this evil old man rescued her. She says that if she stays away for another 6 months, then shans would have gotten over her and married, someone, so she needs to go in hiding till then. Well This old man is actualy an evil old man who tells tulasi that he will send her away to andhra to work for swarna, who needs an maid servant. Listening to swarna's name oldman's wife gets shocked. Tulsi goes to freshen up outside, when the old lady requests the old man not to send tulasi to swarna as swarna is not a good lady. Kizham says he will send tulasi as swarna will pay 50,000 for tulasi, with which he will use for his wife's eye surgery & this will be his last offense. Outside tulasi sees shans buddies sticking poster about her, and hears them say how shan is missing her. She goes and rips off the poster & goes and hides inside the house and asks the kizham to take her to swarna immediately, the old man says he can take her only after 4 days, and asks his wife lakshmi to take care of her.

Kadhir's house, the girls family arrive to fix the wedding date. puppy's husband is introduced to kadhir, & prabha rubs him on the wrong side by making a silly statement that after coming here she feels kavitha is more lucky than puppy. Prabha then takes her moms' cell away from her as she is on the phone. Later when they go inside she pulls kadhir to sit next to her, which irritates puppy's husband, and he asks her to come and sit next to puppy, for which prabha retorts, and there is some tension between the two. Prabhu also proclaims that if she would seen kadhir first she woudl have married him. Kadhir laughs at this stupid joke. Her mom controls her. Puppy's husband is blowing his own trumpet about his business etc and looks down upon kadhir first, then later on shuts up hearing that kadhir did his mba in US. PRabha and puppy go wth kadhir to see the house, her husband comes behind and takes her away. Prabhu takes the tour of the house with the kadhir, she visits kadhir's bedroom. kadhir asks why kavitha is not here. Prabha sets kadhir up to yahoo voice/webcam chat with kavitha. Kadhir comes on the line and asks if she ate, he says he misses her then she says, ennakkum feelathan irruku!! & then kadhir receives a gift about a child which is sketched by prabha, then kadhir , kavi chat... Thank god kadhir's mama comes and breaks their chit chat.

Puppy's husband says that he found something different in the house, and asks kadhir that he has an expensive house, but there is no sign of his parents. Finally he keeps grilling kadhir about his parents, his mama comes to his rescue and says kadhir is adopted and in those days they did not take photo. Puppy's tail asks kadhir his mom's name , kadhir says gandhimathi, & says his adopted dad's name as shanmuganathan, Puppy husand wants to know his real dad's name, name again to the rescue and asks why is he interogating them. Kadhir is quiet and the girl's family is quiet shocked, kadhir refuses to say his dad's name, actually puppy's husand is very irritating and keeps irritating kadhir if he does not have a dad, kadhir says' that he will not name his dad, and his dad is alive, but since he cheated on his mom , he will not utter his name, pup's tail asks how can they have any relationship with someone who does not know his dad

I saw the one on wednesday a lil, and it is a flashback of NK and KM and their times together. NK is explaining to his wife and she is all crying. Only thing important is he says Kathir is not his son.

I always thought it was kanthimathi...so wrote KM, i guess its Gandhimathi thats GM!!!!!! I will be careful with my next update.

Ramesh & Vidya

Ramesh wakes up in the morning and finds vidya sitting in a corner & crying. He asks her if she got any sleep at all. Vidya says that she did not as she kept thinking about how he treated her in front of her mama. Ramesh says that he reacted the way he did cause he was new to shans place & she did not even care about him, & went on entertaining shans. He says that she did not even realise that ramesh had left their place, which was too much. He tells her that he is not going to apologise to her if she is expecting that. RAmesh tells her that in any given situation she should give importance to him only. Vidya gives counter arguments as to how she only cares about him, & that is the only reason that she came over to kadhir's house when he called her inspite of their family differences, & she is putting up with everyone in his house, and adjusting to hostile situation only for him. Ramesh asks her not to give excuses. Finally vidya asks for forgiveness. Ramesh comes down from his high horse & sits next to her & calls it truce. Now in this senti situation, he cracks a joke as to how he has been raised in a city and he is ok with boys mixing with girls, & he is a genuine person, but he cannot keep something in his heart and expresses the same instantly. He requests vidya to understand him & act accordingly. Vidya goes into flash back about him & ashok.

Bhaskar vijayam
Bhaskar arrives at nachiarpuram & is sitting with NK, moorthy & sivagamy, & says that he cannot live at his inlaws house. NK asks him to adjust. Bhaskar says that mallika has changed and seems to listen to only her mother. Moorthy says that bhaskar needs to have some spine. Bhaskar says it is all circumstances, and his wife does not have a good qualities like his anni. Bhaskar asks moorthy not to hurt him more. NK asks them both to stop. He says that as parents they are troubled by both sets of samandhi. The entire household gangs up. Sivagamy asks them to give some peace to his dad & listen to his dad. Bhaskar says that only because i listened to appa im going through this torture staying at mallika's house. Sivagamy asks him to take a thaniveedu. NK & sivagamy advise bhaskar to move seperately. Karpagam advises that maybe bhaskar can take a bigger house and bhaskar & siva's family can live together. Moorthy tells sivagamy, that he feels happy that now sivagamy has patched up her issues with NK. Sivagamy says that she is really fortunate to have a husband like him. Sivagamy asks if they need to find the girl that kadhir liked and go talk to them. NK says that first he needs to find tulsi. sivagamy assures him that for his good heart tulsi wll be in a good place

Tulasi
Tulsi has her bath and is slowly finding her way in the new house, where in she sees lots of girls in a very religious way. A girl asks her when she came. Tulsi says taht she arrived the previous night, & when tulsi asks how come she did not meet any of them the previous night, the girl says that she had gone for thozhil. The owner arrives & introduces tulsi to the other girls and when tulsi asks what work does she have, the owner asks her to rest & she will tell her what work she has to do when the time comes. The owner gets a call and leaves, tulsi finds a phone and calls shans house. Saras picks up the phone, & tulsi does not speak. Tulsi calls again, saras picks up again, and asks why they are speaking. Tulsi cuts it off again. A girl comes to tulsi's room while she is placing another call & saras comes with anger and picks up the phone, & screams, tulsi puts the phone down. The girl in the room asks why she is not talking. Tulsi says she felt like speaking to her husband. The girl says if you love your husband so much, why did you come here. The owner arrives in time and asks tulsi not to call anymore, & she then collects the rest of the girls and says that if anyone speaks to tulsi before she sells tulsi to a broker, she will kill them

Malargal Update for Monday, August 7th, 2006

I lost my satellite connection for the initial few mins. of the show, so if I have missed something, someone please fill in!

Scene I

Kavitha's house

Kavitha's mother is showing Kavitha some prospective bridegrooms' photos (brought by Puppy's husband) and asking her to choose someone. Kavitha says she's not interested. Puppy's hubby asks her to at least look at the photos first. Kavitha gets angry and says she's not interested, period. Puppy asks her what her problem is and whether she is still thinking about Kadhir. Kavitha's sis pipes in and says that obviously Kavitha is still thinking about him, and that to expect her to change her mind so quickly is not fair. Mama tells Kavitha that it's standard procedure to look at several grooms and ask questions before deciding on someone and that to fall for the first guy she sees is stupid. Kavitha tells him that she doesn't need to listen to him and that she knows that he never wanted Kadhir to become a member of the household because Kadhir's qualifications were far superior to his, and that he was afraid of losing respect if Kadhir entered the scene. Puppy and Mama leave the home in a huff. Kavitha's mother comes back in the house and asks Kavitha's sister to advise her.

Scene II

An Office

Siva is sitting there with other candidates waiting to be interviewed. Siva tells the other guys he's confident of getting the job because he has come with a recommendation letter. The boss flips through Siva's papers and offers him the job of company manager without asking a single question (???). He asks Siva about his salary requirements. SIva tells him his previous job paid Rs.8000, and boss should decide on a salary after seeing his work. Boss tells him that this post pays only Rs. 2000. Siva is surprised at such a low salary, saying it's a peon's salary, and he is educated and has three months of work experience as well. Boss does not budge. Siva tells him he needs some time to think it over and walks out (leaving his folder on he desk). Assistant asks boss why he told Siva a Rs. 10000 job would only pay Rs. 2000. Boss tells her that Amala's father told him that Siva was a bad character and pombuLe porikki (He had chased after Amala, etc.). Siva, who had returned to get his folder, overhears it all, picks up his folder and leaves.

Scene III

Mallika's House

Mallika's mom is telling Mallika that since Bhaskar has gone alone to Nachiarpuram, something is bound to happen. Bhaska arrives and Mallika asks whether any info on Thulasi was found. Bhaskar tells Mallika there was no news. He says that all these recent problems are their own doing. He says that all the children have succeeded in troubling their parents. Mallika says everything will turn out OK. Bhaskar mentions to her that his father suggested that they, along with Siva and Revathy, look for a thani veedu. Mallika's mother has come out of the kitchen this point and is listening in. Mallika asks Bhaskar what he said to his father's suggestion. Bhaskar tells her he agreed, and Mallika gets angry that she was not consulted first. bhaskar asks why, and whether she has a problem with Revathy. She says that's not the point; it's always better to keep a distance, and that's why they left Nachiarpuram. Bhaskar tells her he already told his parents OK, and that if she respects him, she would agree as well. She tells him she cannot just pack her bags on his whims. He tells her to at least think about it before saying no (revathy could help take care of Karthik). Evil mother-in-law pipes in (we were all waiting for this) and tells him there's nothing to think about. She says that he was fine when he left for Nachiarpuram, and the minute he comes back, he's spouting nonsense. She blames SK for putting wrong ideas into his head. Bhaskar stops her tirade and tells her she has no right to badmouth his mother. He tells Mallika he will be living with Siva and Revathy, and she better do what's right and leaves. Mallika's mom asks Mallika what she plans to do. Mallika says if she planned to live with Siva and Revathy, she could have just as well stayed in Nachiarpuram. She says let's see what will happen.

Scene IV

House of Ill-Repute

Madam giving orders all around, telling the girls to get ready for the upcoming "evening" activities. She sees Thulasi helping make appalam and tells her she shouldn't be doing any work. Thulasi tells her she doesn't mind and Madam protests again. Madam asks Thulasi why she's wearing a sari and that she would give her a salwar kameez to wear. Thulasi says her mama doesn't like her wearing anything except saris. Thulasi tells Madam she is longing to go to a temple and asks if there are any temples nearby. Madam tells her she would take her to the temple herself and walks her out of the room. The other girls giggle at this. As they're about to leave the house, a vehicle approaches and Madam quickly rushes Thulasi inside and tells her to stay in a room until she calls her. Madam rushes back out and the backgroung "Linga, linga, LingaLingaLinga" chorus resonates. Madam mentions the surprise visit. Linga asks if he cannot come uninvited. madam tells him no, no, and ushers him inside. Linga comes inside, where all the girls are lined up. He works his way down the line, singing. He picks one of the girls and takes her into a room. Madam rushes over to one of the girls and asks her to quickly get Thulasi out of the house before Linga sees her. Girl runs into Thulasi's room and tries to get her out quickly. Thulasi asks her what is going on. Girl says Linga is there and they needed to get out quickly. Thulasi is confused and says it seems like yeddo "thappu" naDukapordhu. Girl says "aama, iddu thappu aana iDam dhaan" and pulls her out of the room. Meanwhile, Linga realizes he has left his mobile on the table in the hall and comes out of the room. he sees Thulasi and stops short. He slowly walks up to her singing (this chap sings quite well!). He comes closer and closer and reaches out to touch her cheek. Thulasi slaps him across the face. Linga's aDiyaaLs spring into action to help out, but Linga hold up his hand to stop them.

Scene 1 - Bhaskar & mallika

Missed some portions, bhaskar asks mallika to come look for houses with him so that they can move soon with siva & revathi. Mallika does not want to move & she argues with bhaskar saying that she does not feel the need to move or listen to him. One leads to another & bhaskar finally ends up slapping her. Mallika's mom & dad come to mallika's rescue, and as always malli's mom has some taunting words, which makes bhaskar leave the house with his son. M's dad says that the josiar has said that it is not good time for them for 3 months, so he ends up calling NK and asks him to come in person to resolve this. NK agrees & discuss with moorhty, sivgamy & sk. NK & wife get ready to go meet mallikas parents. NK also tells mallika not to worry as he will come and resolve thier issue.

Scene 2 - Kavi's sis & Kadhir

Kavi's sis goes to nachiarpuram. She enters kadhir's house and asks if anyone is home. Kadhir comes out & is surprised to see her & asks her to sit. She says if there was a girl in this house then there would have been someone who would have come to 'rezeeve; her. Then kadhir & her get talking about how this alliance could not continue furhter, sis advising kadhir that if you love someone you will face hurdles but he needs to rise and shine. Kadhir says that this cannot happen since the one thing he feels insulted to talk about is his dad & that is all her folks seem to be interested in. Since her folks insulted his mom as well, his self esteem does not let him proceed with this relationship though he likes kavi a lot. Sis explains how kavi also feels the same way about him & convinces kadhir to meet her sis once. Kadhir agrees. Nyanavel comes & he is also delighted. Sis leaves, & her car breaks down & gets fixed, NK passes by the stranded car and recognises the sister, & asks her for her phone number and address as he would like to talk to her mom in person. Sis gives him a card.

Scene 3 - Ramesh's & co house

Sharadha asks the periya yAnnai & Chinna yAnai to get ready. The 2 promptly get ready and all 3 are about to leave. Vidya is watching this and asks chinna yAnnai as to where they were going as she would also like to join them. Ofcourse by that time sharadha and p.Yannai come there and vidya says even is she cannot go with them she would like to know so if anyone comes she can tell them. Sharadha does not want her to get involved in anything & the trio leave. Ramesh calls home & vidya is crying & he promises to come as he is somewhere closeby. IN the meantime the pOOkaran arrives and vidya goes in to get the cash as the pookaran is measuring the poo. Pookaran does not have change so he asks vidya to take care of his cycle and pookUdai, & goes to get change. Two rowdies passby in a bike and see vidya's chain. One of them gets down and asks her as to how much is the pOO. As Vidya is saying that she is not the one selling the flowers, that guys slaps her hard and tries to pull her chain.

Update for Wed Aug 30-2006


Continuation of yesterday's scene in Kadhir's house. Police and maars/puppi/mother come there and the confrontation starts. Kadhir stands there with the kitchen knife and Maars tells the inspector that kadhir has kidnapped Kavi and points to the knife in his hand.Kavitha now tells firmly that she has come on her own and Kadhir has not kidnapped her. But her mother/sister don't allow her to speak further and try to drag her away. Inspector tells Kadhir to come to the station for questioning. Kadhir now asks the police how much money did you take for doing like this. He says when the girl tells clearly that she came on her own, why you are trying to trouble me? More hot words are exchanged and at some point, Maars says that if Nataraja kounder had not telephoned us about Kavitha being here, who knows what happened,he says. Kadhir/mama look stunned. Maars and Inspector further insult Kadhir by talking about him not having a proper father. Kadhir goes to catch Inspector's shirt but is prevented by Mama and then Kadhir agrees to come to police station. Kadhir tells mama in the meanwhile to try for the local sub inspector but mama says he is out of town and hence can't help us.

I missed the start of 2nd part.
When I saw,Vidya tries to get Ramesh on mobile but can't reach him. Sundari and gang taunt her saying you have successfully separated Ramesh and his mother and who knows what else you are going to do. You are a emakadhagi, they say.Vidya starts to go to her room and now faints near the staircase. Seeing her unconscious, Sundari says it is better to get a doctor. Her husband rushes out and gets a doctor nearby who was preparing to go abroad and requests her to just see Vidya. Doctor comes in and says she is weak and should take proper food and also she suspects preganancy which needs to be confirmed. As she is leaving for US, she asks them to do further tests and confirm. She prescribes some medicines for Vidya.

Scene in Police station. Kadhir in lock up and Mama comes in with the lawyer and protests about why kadhir should be kept inside like this. Lawyer says that the girl is a major and has clearly told that Kadhir did not kidnap her and so why u are keeping him in lock up, he asks. Inspector says we will look into that after the girl comes here and says about that tomorrow. Lawyer is unable to convince inspector further and finally he speaks to kadhir and tells him that as the courts are closed for the day, we can't get u bail today and so u have to remain here. Now mama gets angry and asks him to try for some one else. Now Lawyer says he will try to get another ACP whom he knows and try out.
After they leave, Maars comes in and inspector takes him aside and tells him the matter is complicated as the other party is very determined to take the matter at a higher level. He further says that we will produce the girl in court tomorrow and if she says she was not kidnapped, then you will be booked for giving a false complaint and my job will also be in problem, he says. Maars now assures him that he will make Kavitha tell what we want.
