Thought I'd make a topic out of this to get answers coz I'm quite bummed at the moment at what Naren did Naren😡😆

I just read the WU.

Was anyone else disquieted to know that Naren chose to hit a bottle than sit out to meditate his grief out? I never expected him to gravitate to a weakness so easily in a weak moment. This is what should put him apart from others, right? Even in such weak moments he'd not give in and find escape in alcohol. But he did.

I don't expect normal sensible person to behave like this. Is this how a supposedly religious person handles grief? Never heard of this. Upar se khota bhi. 😆 I can't put this blame on Rahul just because he gave alcohol and he took him there. Where is naren's brain.

I was right he needs body guard and guide all the time. Too weak character. Maybe thats why he wants to go sanyas as worldly life is more difficult. I mean choosing sanyas as escape route. Some ppl do it.

So true😆

This is SO not the Naren I thought him to be... He is so weak. :/

Yep. Mayank seems the sanest of the lot. Good, Practical and Loyal. It's good Naren had someone like him in his life thus far.

Khota had me LOL-ing! But this is Rajshri, that's THE MOST scandalous thing for them😆😆😆

And agreed. This is exactly what I was saying in other post... Maybe spirituality is Naren's escape mechanism. Coz his spiritual pursuits seem to come out of grief, dejection and loneliness rather than from a place of curiosity or thirst for knowledge/wisdom or seeking to explore...

I'd rather have my hero love animals coz he genuinely doesn't feel any difference between all life forms than with an attitude of " better animals than dealing with humans n their expectations".

That would just be...sad. I'm still hoping all this is to point to Naren his flaws. *fingers crossed*

edit add: Akshay is really making even a weak Naren endearing so far... but with this kinda stuff from writers I wonder how long can he save Naren...

I dont think its a bad thing for Naren, remember he is still quite young and he's human. No one should take spiritual vows until he/she has experienced or explored a broad aspect of life. When Naren sees and experiences the other side, only then can he truly know what he wants or make choices. Naren, currently is too sheltered, he needs to be a typical young man for a change, whether it is alcohol or Brothel...but one thing that is already intrinsic in him, is his love for all lifeforms whither large or small, rich or poor...all creatures and trying his best to be just

I had posted the same in another thread. This goes against the characterization of Naren. He was someone with control, high values and principles. The drinking was totally out of sync.
I think the makers did it to malign Pooja's character. They kept on showing Mami's words of Muh kala karoing.

I second you...

Naren has no idea of what he wants and what is he seeking... He has not yet become the full fledged Sannyasi and is still finding the right path... I don't think he is weak either... Naren is exactly like a child -curios to get answers, innocent enough to get manipulated and has a pure heart that makes him feel the pain of any living being ...These qualities makes him stronger than anyone else... I love this character SO much!!!! I was sick and tired of watching male leads hurting female leads just to show them how strong and cool they are... He is different!!!!

Naren is like a rudderless ship right now, unsure of what direction he wants to travel in...Yes, he seeks the spiritual path but at the same time he interacts with his brothers who are constantly cajoling him to have a drink...if he had put up a strict signboard regarding not wanting to be around alcohol, period, then this would have been a hard line that it would have been surprising to see him cross...but he never quite did that.

As others have mentioned here, he's still very young despite his bent towards spirituality...he comes across more as a seeker in search of answers and along the way he makes mistakes like everyone else...so he is prone to bursts of childish anger when things don't go his way...he may be very tender-hearted and compassionate towards innocent living things otherwise but can be surprisingly callous when he closes his mind to all else but his point of view.

I personally was more amused to see this fall from grace and how conveniently Naren has to fall in Rahul's trap again after what had just been revealed about Rahul's behavior...lol...lazy writing...I guess they wanted to establish that Pooja's hand burning hit him harder than a goat dying...lol

Also, quite amusing that a 1920s Devdas style kotha complete with antique utensils to pour liquor from and elegant mujra dancing lady is all available in these modern times...lol...I knew Naren was an antique piece but all these Rajshri version of "vices" are also amusing to see...waise jokes apart, it was a beautifully directed and performed sequence...the lady dancing on "Chhaap Tilak" danced very well.
