Sugni's confession to Vickram was dreamyand Vickram's self realization about his love for Sugni and dream sequence was beautifully written. Love it immensely.

Sugni and Vickram being in love with each other

was refreshing, scintillating and amazing.

These three chapters are my favorite. Hope their Love for each other withstand any trials and tribulations.

Looking forward to reading the other chapters.

Lovely chapter Vinnie. I really enjoyed it.Firstly, i am happy with Vikram's actions, what he did was indeed right, he upheld his principles and made his boundaries clear to the staff members moreover, indirectly he did make his relationship with Sugni clear to everyone and he did the right thing by firing Uma after all it turned out that she ended betraying the company. At first i thought that Vikram was indeed upset with Sugni but as i continued reading the story i gradually began to understand the reason for him behaving in that manner and as it turned out he was proud of Sugni and i'm happy that he made this very clear to her. It will surely strengthen her faith and confidence in herself to stand up for what is right. I can see that she is definitely becoming a stronger and more confident individual and yes, even a person like Vikram can have his moments but if one takes time out to listen to the other person's problems and to understand their feelings then sometimes we end up solving that person's problems and this is exactly what Sugni did and i am soo happy for her... the relationship that Sugni and Vikram share is surely a strong one because it is based on trust, faith and understanding.

Chapters 25-27

WOW soo much progress. From going out in a crowded place, to learning self defence, to defending someone else to being supportive to Vikram - Sugni has come a very long way.

Her defending Seema like that made me think what she would do if anyone tried to hurt Vikram!!!!

Loved the tipsy Sugni. TVS still the perfect gentleman giving her time and space and letting her set the pace in their relationship.

Cannot wait for the next chapter.

Chapter 28

Sugni sat in the living room , trying to ignore this ominous feeling she was getting, like something bad was about to happen. The took a few deep breaths to calm herself. As she chastised herself for feeling this way, everything was good, in fact her life was darn near perfect now. The little crisis they had with the figurine was all solved, her idea about the apology worked like a charm to negate any negative publicity the client had in mind. And Just yesterday Vickram received an official letter form the National Entrepreneur Association telling him he was the winner in his category, and was invited to the elaborate award ceremony in two weeks. So really life for them could not be better.

"Oh come on!" She said to herself. The problem was, for the first time she was by her self in the house. Well not totally by her self Dhanuma was there, although she went to bed at 7 sharp. She was in the house so Sugni was not totally alone.

Vickram had a business dinner to attend to , he asked her to accompany him, but she told him she would be fine, after all it was just a few hours and what would she do there really. So bravely she opted to stay home. She was fine for most of the evening, she had a quite dinner with Dhanuma.

But now she was sitting in the living room by herself, and suddenly the house seemed big and empty. It felt as though she could hear every creek and sound the silence made. She put on the television just to provide some back ground music than anything else.

She laughed at her silliness, if Vickram was there she would not be feeling like this, even if they were in separate rooms, because she knew he was here close. "Come on Sugni grow up." Getting up she went to her room and found her bag, she pulled out note book she kept in there and her pencil, making her way back down stairs. Sitting on the couch she opened it to a blank page, and slowly started to draw. This hobby of hers that she found by chance the first few weeks she got here, was more than a hobby, it was a source of comfort to her.

It was a way for her to loose herself , her pick me up when she was feeling down at times. It was also extremely private to her. No one, not even Vickram or Amrita knew about it. Some of her drawings were sometimes disturbing, all the darkness and negative emotions she felt inside came out as she let that feeling come out through her pencil. Some of them were light and fun especially if she was thinking about Vickram, which was a lot lately. Sitting in the store room she had a lot of free time after she finished her duties to work on her art and then she brought it home with her. She found it helped if she couldn't sleep , or was having nightmares, she didn't like disturbing him with that, so she would sit and draw. Usually it helped.

As she continued to work on the abstract image in front of her, she relaxed, the soft sound of the television in the background, slowly a smile spread across her face, as she looked at the hearts and doodles taking shape on the paper, a pair of smiling eyes, that held the world of love and kindness she ever saw.

The sound of the 10 PM news cast caught her attention, as she looked at the television screen to see what went on in the world, a habit she picked up from Vickram, no matter what he was doing he tried never to miss the news if he had a choice.

Suddenly Sugni felt her world tilt, her blood went cold , as she began shaking, uncontrollably. She shook her head from side to side, to get rid of the feeling but it didn't help. That laughter, that sound, the source of all her nightmares and terror was right infront of her. "No'No Nooo." She whispered, she felt her self freez. Some where in the back ground she herd a door slam , making her jump. OH God she had to get out of here'. But she could'nt move'.

Vickram switched off the jeep and headed inside, it was a productive dinner, if all went well which he had little doubt he could help make some very creative blind people some good money to help them in their future. He smiled as he walked into the house.

It was after midnight, and he wondered if Sugni was asleep, it was the first time he left her alone, he was a bit worried about it, but she seemed fine. He knew she was brave. As he came to the hall way he herd the television on, he should have known she would wait up for him. But when he looked it the room was empty, but the television was on, odd.

"Sugni?" He called, but got no answer.

Going upstairs he checked her room but it was empty and quite, knocking on the bathroom door no response, he looked in and it was empty. He had a bad feeling growing in the pit of his stomach, where was she?, He checked his room , bathroom, downstairs, nothing. .

Going back into the hall, he turned off the television, spotting a notebook lying abandoned on the couch, opening it, he saw her name and some drawings, so she was here so where was she.? Outside? At this hour? He was about to go to the side door, when the movement of the curtain caught his eye.

Walking closer to it he moved the curtain, and stood in shock as he saw her sitting on the floor curled up in a ball. She screamed when he moved the curtain.

"Nooo" she wailed shaking her head from side to side.

"Sugni' hey'" he said kneeling next to her. Obviously she was having a panic attack, but why? He looked at her closely she seemed alright physically, but she was obviously terrified over something.

"Shhh its ok 'you are fine'no one's going to hurt you'come on I am right here!" he said softly. "come on." He said again. Stretching out his hand

She looked at him then she took his hand as clinging to his neck. "I got you, you're safe ..It's alright" he soothed. Gingerly he managed to get up with her and bring her to the couch. Where she sat trembling.

What happened her. He held her soothing her until slowly she started to calm down. However she refused to let him go.

"What happened?" He asked.

"h- he- he found me'.he found me'I-I can't let him see me he found me" she started babbling, Vickram could tell she was going to panic again'.

"Shhh'Hush'. No one's here..just me and you..see No one else"

"No ' no he is here he found me'.he'll take me back'no .."

"Ok ..ok..calm down'.where is he?'

"Here"

"in the house?" Vickram asked looking around

"N-no- he is looking for me, he can't find me 'I can't let him ." she started to cry,

"Shhh'he won't you're safe here'" Realizing she was in no frame of mind to explain anything, he picked her up and carried her to her room. Checking through her draws he found a bottle of pills she had for her anxiety attacks, it was half full as he knew she hated taking them , preferring to do her breathing exercises, for most part it worked. It had been months since she had one.

He handed her the pills which she took , he tucked her into bed laying down next to her. She clung to him still trembling..

" Shhh..You're safe 'no one's going to hurt you" he said. Wrapping his arms around her

"I Can't go back with him'..I can't go through this again'I'll die. I swear." She said "Don't let him get me please"

Vickram closed his eyes as he listened her her pitiful pleading. Was she having a flashback? What happened here tonight he wondered for her to react so strongly?Eventually she fell into a a restless sleep, where she would jump up ever so often apparently neither sleep nor him able to bring her any peace.

Early next morning Vickram left Sugni and made his way down stairs to the kitchen where Dhanuma was preparing breakfast. He asked her what happened last night.

"Nothing, after you left we had dinner, then she helped me to tidy up the kitchen, I left for my room at 7 and she said she would wait up for you. She was fine." Dhanu ma said.

"Did any one visit or call?"

"No..on one came..I don't know if she called any one, but yes it was after 9 when I came to get some water, she was sitting in the living room, writing something, but she looked ok, in fact she was humming to herself and smiling'" She said. Ok that was strange.

His talk with Dhanuma did not help, so he called Amrita and told her what happened, she was equally confused but agreed to come visit before she went to the hospital. It was now breakfast time, Vickram got dressed for work, but Sugni did not come down. Going upstairs he went in to find her sitting on the chair her arms wrapped around her knees, still in her pajamas.

"Sugni?" She jumped.

"Yeah?"

Aren't you getting ready for work?" he asked casually

She shook her head. "I-I can't go..no" she said

"Why?" he asked

"Cause he'll find me. I need to hide."

Vickram took a deep breath, what he was looking at was that girl he found in the back of his van almost six months ago. That terrified shell of a girl.

"OK you don't want to go to work, it's alright, but you can come for breakfast right?" He asked , stretching out his hand. "Come with me."

Silently she took his hand, clinging to it as he led her downstairs to the breakfast table. He sat next to her. Dhanuma made her a plate and placed it in front of her, looking at Vickram, silently asking him what was going on. He shrugged . The shock and disbelief on her face at seeing Sugni like this was telling.

Amrita was equally shocked when she arrived, seeing Sugni like that. She looked at Vickram for an explanation and he had none. She sat next to her on the couch, again she was hugging her knees , rocking back and fourth. .

"Sugni?" She said.

'mmm" She said.

"What happened last night, honey." She asked gently

"He ---he found me." She said.

'Who found you." She asked

"He did" .She stammered , her breathing becoming shallow

"Ok 'Shhh did he come to the house?" She asked.

Sugni shook her head. Mumbling "I have to hide"

"Sugni, focus look at me .Shhh tell me what you did last evening, after Vickram left."

"I -I h -'ha had dinner." She said, "With Dhanuma."

"Hmm after dinner what happened?"

"I was waiting for Vickram but I felt odd, so I started to draw, but then the news came on and I saw him.."

"Saw him on TV?" She asked

"Yes he is here , he came for me, he found me," she cried.

"Ok it's alright." Vickram sat next to her hugging her'"Shhh." As He looked at Amrita.

"What happened in the news last night ?" She asked Vickram

"I don't know, I did not catch it."

"Maybe we'll get lucky," She said switching on the television to the local news channel. It was almost time for the news broadcast.

They sat silently waiting as the news started, nothing out of the ordinary.

"Local police commissioner continued to play host to the newly appointed Chief of Police of Castle Town, Divkar Rajh who is on a two day visit to Mawhari as they hold meetings on crime fighting strategies.. here is what the visiting Chief had to say about his visit." The Announcer said as she read the next story.

"It is a pleasure to be here, in Mahawri, I have learned a great deal from your police department, that I plan to take back with me to Castle Town. As I have vowed that I would to all in my power to eradicate crime in my city !" The man on the screen said. In his arms Vickram felt Sugni shaking as she clung to him again, hiding her face in his chest. He cursed under his breath as he looked at the screen. THAT was Divakar !!! ' He and Amrita looked at each other, as she switched off the television.

"What are we going to do?" He asked Amrita a while later. Sugni was in her room , sleeping. As Vickram sat next to her. "I hate seeing her like this"

'Seeing him again on TV, brought everything back to her . That is her worse nightmare come to life! And he is here."

"Do you think he found her?" she asked worriedly,

"How could he?, she said he never knew her real name, she was Chubuli at the establishment. According to the report it is an official visit, and he will be gone in two days. Two days in which she won't be out of my sight I tell you.!" He vowed. "I am just worried that all her progress has been lost. Look at her, she is acting like when she first came here." He said creasing her head, looking at her.

"Hmm she is in shock we have to make sure she starts going back out soon, to work 'until he leaves I will come here, just to be safe but Vickram this is bigger than we thought. He is A Chief of Police.!"

And that is exactly what worried Vickram. A man with power and position, who from what Vickram herd that night was determined to get her. Vickram looked at her, when she told him last night she would die if she had to go through that again. She worked so hard these past few months to overcome this. She grew so much. And now because of some sadistic monster, she was back to square one. NO'he won't let this happen he did not know yet how but he was going to ensure she was safe again.
