friends this in my memory is the first time in my career of 16 years that an appreciation thread has been started for me. i must say that it has been a very humbling moment. a few of the shows that have been mentioned here, i do not even remember doing very readily. great job. for the benefit of you all, "KADAM GHALAT PADA THA KABHI RAAH-E-SHAUQ MEIN, MANZIL TAMAAM UMR MUJHE DHOONDHTI RAHI." it means that i set one wrong foot in my imbecilic mood, in life. my goals, my fate my destiny kept searching me for the rest of my life.

I am running fan page for Phir subah hogi On facebook and Asked your fans who are not here but are there to ask their questions so here is the 1st question Kritika K Kr - what is his inspiration to play such diverse roles, eg he played role of a younger in age lover and husband in Astitva, then he had role of a psych patient in another show,
id like to know how he prepares himself for these kinds of off beat/unconventional roles!

the very reason for taking up different roles is that similar kind of characters can make life and work very boring. so that is where the inspiration comes from. plus the fact that i would want to be remembered as someone who tried out different things. even if i don't get a chance to show my metal on the silver screen, i just hope i do enough on TV to be remembered as one of the best. preparation for different characters is a lot different. but i work on my observations. i tend to look at things a lot many people would ignore and remember things which others think are worthless. to get into a skin of a character, one needs to first take inputs from the makers and then give a complete body to the thoughts. mannerisms and diction are difficult to manage but are very important. this is where a show like MAAN RAHE TERA PITAAH was very dear, though it did not run for too long. i was more or less in complete command of my performance in that show. once you have made the body then it is important to be innovative, keeping yourself within the parameters of the character.
i did not know that Vikram was going to turn out like this. but if you read the book on method acting, which of course... i haven't read, the last line says that every actor has to be a charmer. even if i were to play negative in PHS, i would make sure it has enough juice to keep people entertained.

Well as an International viewer i have always loved Varun Badola's work, it has always been interesting watching him on tv, be it grey shades/negative yet
his protrayal of Thakur Vikram Singh is mindblowing, though it is a negative character but its easy to love that character, TVS seems very realistic as any man would be in his situation!
And yes Varun's work is appreciated by viewers in Fiji and on international scale!
