Some fans are wondering why a strong like lion Vikram is unaware of himself being manipulated by Dhanuma. There is a perfectly good explanation about that. Vik trusts Dhanuma a lot because she helped to raise him and his siblings and until recently has proved herself to be a hardworking, no-nonsense employee. Vik is smart, but more importantly he is a good-hearted and kind boss. He wants people to trust his vachans, and in return he also places a high level of trust in the people he loves, like his nanny. If we can't trust our nannies and care-givers, who do we trust in this world? Therefore, until Dhanuma does something wrong to expose her evilness, Vik will continue to trust her. But as we can see in yesterday's episode, he is already suspecting something fishy in the way she treats Sugni. CVs have not done a big U-turn with Vikram's character, he is still that shrewd Thakur, but things are happening in his life that are beyond his control. Being human and not God, has he no right to feel and look lost? Confused? Upset? We all do when things are not going our way. But we should trust our Thakur that he will soon sort things out and marry his love. Varun is such a great and talented actor. Surely we want to see a range of emotions and expressions from him- not just shrewdness all the time. We want to witness sadness, confusion, hopelessness and a gritty determination to overcome all odds. This is called character development. Therefore CVs, give yourselves a big pat on the back. You are all doing a marvellous job. This viewer is not confused at all. I don't see any major and abrupt U-turn in Vik's character. 👏
Cvs are slowly painting for us the background of each character's life - both past and present - before the story builds up towards the future. From the 1st episode, we see Sugni and her family. We understand she is the illegitimate child of a Thakur and has greedy uncles who want to profit from her beauty. This is pushing her to yearn for respect, marriage and maybe a stab at life in the big city(she tried to escape to Delhi but was pushed off the bus). Now CVs are painting for us the background of Vikram and helps us understand why a rich and powerful man has fallen for a mere slip of a Bedni girl. Why on earth would he be willing to face insults and humiliation and taunts of his sister for her? Why not just throw in the towel and be a foot-loose and fancy free bachelor? Hence the story of Reva Manzil and the little girl. We will soon know the terrible secret of TVS- what awful thing happened in his life that now he is wiling to fight all in order to be with the woman he loves. Vik's love borders on possession and obsession because to him, Sugni is his 'subah'. That makes his love noble because he truly needs her. OK we all started watching this show to know about bedia culture and how a bedini will fight for her rights and all, but we should also watch Vikram's story to understand why he would be her samaritan.
@kamala - Hi nice to know you've enjoyed the last 2 months, but is the next 2 months all you're willing to give this show before deciding if you'll continue with it or not? Hope not cos we'll be sad to lose a fan. But i'm very hopeful that CVs will not disapoint us and will continue to entertain us. Hey Yeh Rista kya Kelate Hai(not sure how to spell) has crossed 800 epis, so PSH has a long way to go. Dunno about you all, but i'm looking forward to seeing Varun every night for the next 2 years yah!Originally posted by: romancefan
