Who knows?.. but I feel like we've gotten to a point where saying you are a feminist somehow gets you equated with a man hating feminazi. I was on some american discussion board and these women were all like-- we don't associate ourselves with feminists. Honestly my jaw dropped. Maybe its because we live in Canada but I've never been really confronted with that kind of thinking. But some conservative Americans aren't any better than the trp aunties. 😆

Regardless, it's somewhat better than how MMZ ended. They had completely butchered that show even till the last moment.

Yeah-- at this point as long as they end with Mehbeer together the rest I can imagine for myself instead of watching the channel screw up the characters.

Honestly I wish St could still do something about it , how can he let BD end so quick :(

ST does have this issue. 😛 Even MB started out with an ambitious premise, to be a tribute to 100 years of Hindi cinema. Even though it was technically a success later, that was only because it quickly lost its original premise of Madhu not wanting to join film but it being her destiny, and transformed itself into a more typical saas-bahu/desi romance show with a forced marriage and gradual awakening of love between the leads. Ha! A bad experience with Colors also to add to my self-imposed torture! 😆 I'm telling you, they're all the same.

I am sure ST is more devastated than we are about this. He was so excited about this show and for once was being allowed to execute it the way he wanted... I feel bad for him. He has amazing ideas that are ahead of their time, and not so much understanding of the nuances of TV...

We should suggest it... I said this elsewhere.. but Jag was originally cancelled by NBC and then went on to have 10 season with CBS. I am sure NBC were kicking themselves because it was a good show.

I wish hindi shows at the opportunity to be on Netflix or an Indian version of it. The mindy project got picked up by Netflix. That kind of thing would be perfect for the more youth oriented shows.

Loll, personally I stay away from people who claim themselves to be feminists. More than half of my encounters involve them being far from feminists. They truly malign the name as they take their own social agendas to the extreme and make everybody else's lives miserable.

When it comes to having discussions, I dislike how close-minded some people become. You are engaging in a civil discussion where you can share points and learn something. No one is trying to convert you into becoming something else. Like just chill. -_-

That's the problem-- you can't be too extreme. Its almost better to start off with a saas bahu-- family concept get your audience and then move toward the concept that you want.

I wonder if BD would've done differently if they started it out in a more sequential order. Like Meher first comes to groove, they have their confrontation and then show the past flashback. Show Suman and Bua struggling to make ends meet and dealing with the deadbeat father and his second family. Then Meher goes to school and meets the college cool rich kid. He pursues her, she isn't sure because she knows she wants to look after her family. But regardless she ends up in the saas bahu saga. Then she comes back 8 years later to prove her mettle.

I think the biggest issue was that Meher wasn't perceived as bechari enough... that's what my sister was saying (who seems to think more like trp aunties). She was too well put together to start with. I think the trp aunty crowd may get intimidated.

Lol I had an alright experience with colors, beintehaa aired on that channel and though it had low TRP it did go on for 9/10 months and the makers were able to tell the story their way.
Yeah he probably is, another show of his which dint get TRP went down... it's really unfair on all :(
I'm still hoping that the TRP goes up this week and maybe they change their mind lol
