i am a litttleee bit disappointed from abeer's character development.. i am not saying he should be a typical angry young man type star plus hero but i do expect a little stability and maturity from him... after all he is about 30 years old technically... at start his character seemed serious , funny yet composed but free spirited... i still remember the impression he gave on the very first episode... however now his character has become very childish and non serious... moreover as far as the character development is concerned ( being a literature student). i except the cvs to show a beer and meher evolve in the past 8 years however their characters seem the same in present and in flashbacks... which is unrealistic for an eight year gap. I am sorry if anyone is offended but lately it seems that a beer is some 2nd grade school student and meher is a headmistress.

That's just how Abeer is. Some people don't change and Abeer isn't the types to give Meher pain or inflict torture to make her uncomfortable. He uses reverse psychology kind of. He makes her uncomfortable by flirting and bringing up their past. Abeer is very childish. But I don't think it's fair to call him a 2nd grade student.

Meher wasn't as strict as she is now in college. I always felt she was just quiet in college whereas now she actually has these walls built around her emotions that no one can break. She's more akdu now in my opinion than she was 8 years ago.

Their chemistry is similar to Indira and Rishi from Hitler Didi, except they have a past

I personally find Abeer a fairly nuanced character. There is a definite immaturity there that is unusual for a 30 year old but I think that is the point. He has remained stagnant as a person because he is still stuck in the past. He hasn't moved on from 8 years ago. Maturity comes as we learn from our experiences. But Abeer hasn't learned from his because he hasn't confronted them. He hasn't introspected on what happened and his own culpability in the mess. He just put on a veneer of cheerfulness for the world and tried to pretend the broken relationship didn't affect him. Like his mom said he became weird-- he stays out late at night drinking alcohol and comes back angry or drunk, constantly fighting with his dad.

But Meher's presence back in his life has given him a purpose again. Initially it was all vengeance and I think that's where the seriousness came from... but lately I think he is realizing his heart is not really in that, he doesn't want to hurt her but he can't let her go either and nor can he admit to himself that he doesn't want to let it go. And that's where all this childishness is coming from-- because what else can he do? This petulant behaviour is really the only option to keep her in his life without having to face his own issues, vulnerabilities, desires etc.

But the shades of maturity are also there. He wants to protect her. He sees how he is the only one that can make her laugh. He tries to guide Tunno the best way he knows how.

Hehe... I think that is true.. And I kind of agree with you on Meher. In college there was still this sense of innocence in her. She was quiet and goal oriented. But now she comes across more jaded to me.

Dear , it's not necessary that every one turn cold , with some disastrous incident happened in their life . Let's take it l this way , if Mehbeer are not separated , and if still Abeer remains same , we all think and praise Abeer as a naughty husband . As u said he might look childish , but to be notice is , he is not a man who speaks big words at any point , but his actions always proves he is sensible and matured . An example is Tunnu scene in yesterday's episode . When tunnu called Meher Kados didi , he corrected him saying how much she cares him . If u just go back and rewind , there were leads who looks matured , they might have made fun together with tunnu .that is Abeer !!

In first few episodes , I too felt he is an angry man . He was angry , bcz he was hurt . He didn't want her to leave. She left him and when she returned , anger and hatred he developed for her was his armour . he showcased anger ,let in her know that's how he survived .but with every passing day and with minute of her presence in his life again , his anger washed out. though he denied he still loved her and he couldn't stay angry on her .

.As far as his humour and immaturity , if u ever notice , these qualities will be out only when he is around his loved ones , either Nissar or mehers family or his mother . It's longing of a neglected son . Since childhood his father never appreciated , never pampered him and he seeks this from his loved ones .

I have seen people who remained humorous regardless of their age with little maturity , maturity charecter growth was due to promoting as father / mother , Taking responisibility as a father It's not age that brings maturity , it's happenings in life that adds maturity to charecter .

And Abeer is denying to break about his broken marriage too, he doesn't want to look hurt . And he thinks he being old Abeer is correct . When a person doesn't have happiness , we find ways ways to get happy and he feels , it's his humour that makes him smile . every human does that .

U can take it this way too, he didn't choose wrong paths to get happiness in those 8 years . He is just sticking to quality he possess that can make him smile . He loved her sincerely and he didnot want to move on either .

When we don't possess something , we strive hard to get that back into lives , he wanted to be happy and he is working on it in his way . I find him realistic , in fact it's little refreshing to see lead like Abeer , it's a msg to people around , to not loose ourself for others.

i am infact very happy that Abeer's character is more childish and cute..i never ever want him to turn into man who hardly smiles just coz he has had a divorce ! Generally we see that in an intense love hate saga male leads end upto be so angry young man types that they hardly smile..even good looking actor seems stupid...i mean that has happened with me earlier, so m glad that Abeer is different from all these usual intense characters. He is childish in tackling Meher, however he isnt when it comes to protecting her or her family! He is responsible and matured in his own way and that is being being a baby!

Meher has a gradual change in the leap. She has been introvert and now she isnt that way. She is a CEO and she really looks and talks like one!

Both are matured and responsible in their own way! Every individual is different and they have showed it well!

I agree with Madhu on most points. Abeer is immature and has not done a self introspection on what happened 8 years back. It is said that fondness increases with distance.
He didn't argue yesterday with Suman when she said it was wrong of him to give 20k to a 19 year old. He was genuinely guilty when Meher talked about Elton Sir. He was up there to make Nissar confident enough to take independent slot. He was a guy in college whose room was never locked and it still remains the same for the ones he care about.
He needs some pampering, some amount of you are great to satisfy his ego and a little bend from Meher's side on that aspect he will walk her like a queen. Because his father never appreciated him or his choices. His mother loved him but didn't stand up to his dad for her son. His wife though a good girl due to MU has left him. He really need someone , someone close to him to stand up for him, for his choices.
