Atleast that's what it seems like from the promo 😊 I am probably one of the few (if not the only one) who is not running around with Go Gurpreet Jhanda!!
With all honesty there is no right and wrong in this situation. It comes down how you prioritize things.
Yash's mom is stubborn. I think she honestly gave Gurpreet and Yash a chance that Gurpreet didn't take. Remember the dance during Garba. All the mom were asked who would you like your sons to dance with? Yash's mom was hesistant but she went along with Gurpreet. I don't even think being vegeterian is a issue as many have have mentioned it. Nandita is not a vegeterian and she likes her just fine. A long time ago yash's mom mentioned every girl comes to talk to her but Gurpreet never comes asks about their family. If I was a mother and someone was interested in my son but never came to me I would find it disrespectful. (speaking from personal experience. When I started dating my ex I never made enough effort to get close to him mom, bechari tried to give me a chance but she always kept missing her son's old girlfriend) It's human nature once you start finidng those little things you dislike in a person you start disliking the person as a whole.
I honestly felt really really sorry for Gurpreet the day Yash came with the groceries. Yash's mom should've had a talk with yash and Gurpreet at the same time. Other than that unless she was forced to say something about Gurpreet she has never said anything bad. She even talks to Gurpreet in a formal tone. I don't think she likes other people butting into her business.
It's quite nice how everyone looks at the word " RESPECT" so differently. I don't find Gurpreet respectful. I always taught my younger sibling don't call yourself a nice person if you are only nice to those who are nice to you, you can only call yourself that if you have the strength to be nice to complete morons who don't even know what the word means. I feel the same way about some who is suppose to " RESPECTFUL". Someone used the example of rapist before..which I didn't find suitable at all 😕. (sorry don't remember who and I can't write so many replies with the same thought over and over again) Is yash's mom anywhere close to a rapist?? What do we mean when we say sankskar?? Isn't the only sanksar that separates us from the western world is the fact we respect our elders sooo much and we know how to keep a family together. Gurpreet is a free woman. Yash's mom didn't go around snatching her food or giving her mean looks throughout the house. The only thing she does is she ignores her these days and she told her son she doesn't want Gurpreet as her daughter in law. Does the woman not even have this much right????
I think she should've came clear earlier and since she doesn't want to talk about it people need to stop asking her and then paint her as a the bad villain when Gurp dear cries. All 3 get their portions of blame. She definitely has NOT been respectful to Yash's mom. Like in today's promo how she stated loud and clear no one in this world would want to get a mother in law likes this. Did Yash's mom ever say no one wants a daughter in law like Gurpreet? she simply said over and over again the traits I want in MY daughter in law I don't see it in gurp. I am sure Priyanka, Pooja, Nandita and probably many other girls would not mind yashdeep's mom.
Thanks god Yash said that was too much. The boy might be confused, and a little too young for marriage but atleast he finally stood up for his mom. 😊 All this hungama over two people who say they are friends, they don't love each other and never did it mean that they will have to get married to each other only.
