it was so pathetic of yash's mom to force yash into talking to other girls... n not "allow" him to talk to gurpreet.. like comeon.. hes what.. 22?? he can decide who he likes.. n who he doesn't! poor gurpreet is stuck in the middle of all this... i feel bad for her. she should move on.. even if yash's mom get convinced later.. she shud reject them cuz that kind of mum in law would definitely make her bahu's life hell...

yes im waiting to see today's episode , in a way i admire hitesh's mom , she is the only one who stands out for wat is right . Gurpreet was treated very badly by yash's mom . But only hitesh's mom has the guts to reason out with yash's mom .

Just my opinion... and ofcourse the brides are groom's choice.. but the guys dont look @ other things.. beside preety and is she compatible.. who knows it can be short term... but this is india.. so they have to stay in the huge families..n together.. and of course moms want the sensible.. innocent type bahus.. not party girls.. :S like Rumpa was liked by both mom n gurav... and Pooja... mom n hitz.. so yea..
I'm sorry if any of u are against what i said..but these are just my views

Right. i fully agree. Pl note that marriages are not only with the boy. ONE HAS TO LIVE WITH THE FAMILY TOO IF NOT TOGETHER BUT FOR FESTIVALS ETC. ONE HAS TO DO ALL RITUALS AND DO AS PER FAMILY CUSTOMS. THAT IS OUR INDIAN SOCIETY. How much educated and independent the girl is she still has to go according to family desires. This Yash's mom found out from Gurupreet's way that she will not be suitable for the family.
If only a girl and boy has to get married and live then why ask family background or from where the boy comes, etc. etc. JUST CHOOSE A BOY ON THE ROAD WITHTOUT KNOW ANY BACKGROUND , IF HE IS SWEET TO TALK AND EARNING GOOD , LIVE WITH HIM. DO NOT BOTHER TO KNOW WHO IS FATHER OR MOTHER. DO A REG. MARRIAGE.
AND SO THE MOTHER'S ARE HERE TO HAVE THEIR SAY ALSO. IT IS THE CHANNEL'S DECISION.
AND IF THEY HAVE COME HERE DOES NOT MEAN THEY SHOULD FORGO THEIR FAMILY VALUES AND CULTURES. LIBERAL DOES NOT MEAN DISRESPECT ELDERS AND BE RIGID TO YOUR WAY OF TALKS AND LIFE.

I agree with all that has been said, but theone thing that bothers me - is when there is a new person who comes into the family then everybody has to adjust, not just the bahu. However, the adjusting part is always left to the bahu - how come? I think that since the bahu is new to the environment and place - everybody in the family should accomodate for her. Now I agree that the bahus also need to appreciate and value their in-laws.
But after close to 20 years of marriage, my in-laws have never treated me nicely - and mine was an arranged marriage. So what is the guarantee that even if Yash marries someone who is mom like that she will be happy!! Based on her attitude of "I will be the one who decideds who my son will marry" , can she not consider the son's happiness too.
Granted that Gurpreet may have acted in a silly way, however she is just 21 years old - it would be sad to write off a girl just because she was hungry in the morning!!!!

In Indian society women is not valued. Even now the birth of son is celebrated and birth of girl is not. It is funny the girl is thought to marry the whole family and boys lives in his home in familiar surrounding with his own people and girls is supposed to make no ripples.

Gurpreet is very accomplished she would be wasting her life if she marries into Yash's family.
