I have rarely posted in the PR forum. But after watching the finale, decided on posting my views. Over the years I've been a silent member. Read the +ves & the -ves. The fights! The frustration over character butchering & illogical twists & turns. But all of this has been true to any Ekta Daily Soap. It's part of the deal.

What a spectacular way to bid adieu. The show thoroughly deserved to be given a grand send off. It was a good move on the part of the CVs to bring back old but never forgotten faces such as Arjun, Purvi & also Ovi. They've been an integral part of the show & it must've been a treat for Arjun-Purvi fans to see their favourite jodi clear misunderstandings with Pari and get the closure that they deserved. As a family.

Bringing back Sushant as a young Manav to reunite with Archana gave the show a fitting end. The journey had begun with them. To end it with their reunion in the heavens was quite a touching end. Hiten Tejwani did full justice to his role following Sushant's exit. But Sushant's presence was required. Not just for Ankita. L. - but the fact that he gave a lot to the character of Manav. No doubt.

I admit the Ankita-Naren-Pari track had been mishandled at the beginning, & character butchering took place. But I'm glad that Naren came back to Ankita. She finally listened to her heart and embraced what was always hers. Her devotion never lessened in the 5 years that they spent apart. Ankita always put others before herself. Finally she got the happiness that she deserved. Her daughter & her husband. Regaining his memory was the key to unlock Naren's feelings for Ankita. Ahaana was simply an illusion that he lived through Pari. Ankita was always the one. I may be a rare Karan Mehra fan here. But he once again won me over with his effortless style of acting.

I understand why Ekta was upset about the show coming to an end. But everything has a life span. PR lived its life to the fullest & I strongly believe that content is everything. When a story is told, ultimately it has to end.

Special mention to Ankita Lokhande, who was the true hero of the show! Archana or Ankita, she gave it her all & deserves a nice long holiday! She truly was the face of Pavitra Rishta all these years...& managed to create individual chemistry with 3 different actors. I along with many viewers over time have often said that PR should come to an end. But now that it finally has, I do feel sad. The show was a regular feature in my household over the years & made a place in my home. All the best to the entire cast and crew both past and present. They have all contributed to the shows success. I shall miss it.

Beautiful post ...
Loved the way you explained the conclusion of the Naren Ankita story ...I think you are right ..Ahaana was an illusion, she was this perfect woman in his head , like the perfect dream but that dream shattered when he lived with Pari after they got married ..

He could not recognize true love but the man was lucky that he got Ankita back .

Hiten was brilliant as the older and rich ( and also angry ) Manav but the show had to conclude with Sushant and Ankita in the last scene .

Thanks a lot :)

I agree with your points. Even before Ankita re-entered Naren's life, the cracks were there in his relationship with Pari. It took him time to realise the difference between illusion and reality. But as they say, better late than never. He was indeed a lucky man for getting Ankita back. Not everyone gets a shot at a second chance to redeem themselves. You know, the scene where Naren has made tea & is sitting watching Ankita and Ashi sleeping was a pleasant sight. It also served as a reminder that what is yours, shall become yours.

Hiten did a good job as the older Manav. I agree. And I respect him as an actor because he has often slipped in to popular roles & just got on with it. But of course - if Manav & Archana were going to die, what better way than to reunite them in the form of Sushant & Ankita. It couldn't possibly have been any other way! A good decision by the CVs...& great to see Sushant slip in to the role, one last time! Thank you to Sushant for accepting.

And thank you for reading :)

I specially loved d way u explained the ankita naren story... I share d same views
Its true naren made mistakes but he too suffered in d interim n when he got a second chance he did try to make up for his wrong doings n truly valued ankita for all that she had done for him
As such he was rewarded n ultimately got what was his...both ankita n ashi !

P.S : after watching karan as naren I have also become his fan
He really boweld me over with his natural n effortless style of acting !

Thank you :)

I share your sentiments. Mistakes were made but lessons were learnt. Good to see a happy ending with Ankita going for what the heart told her, as rightly advised by Archana. Overall the theme of the finale & it's build up was about reunions, reconcilations & rejoice. Naren finally got his Ankita & Ashi, Pari got her parents back & the souls of Archana & Manav reunited, symbolising the meaning of a Pavitra Rishta.

@bold: Glad to know it :) Nice to see someone who is also a fan of Karan. He comes across as a nice guy offscreen as well. I wish him and the entire cast all the best in their future projects.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
