How do you just leave your siblings like that after everything youve done for them. Don't they still need you? Yes, they have Ds now but their new - theyve only known their tai as a mom figure. Screw Naren etc - she should have stayed for her family. Right now she needs them and they always needed her.

Its like people just wish to see one side of a coin. Someone attacking ur father still u expect that man to behave normally?

Agree on point just for one naren she is leaving her four siblings and playing with future of child. People r calling that child illegitimate and she is cool with that. No naren or pari should be more important than her own blood.

Well good intensions r not enough to live a life or to prove u r a nice person.

And completely ignoring a fact she had sex with mentally ill person pretending as her girl friend. Gender card is best thing in india. And naren's sperms r for charity which anyone can take and then claim this is only my child.

Dont understand why pari agreed for marriage when she knows he has mental issue? Well love is blindand PR ladies never learn any lesson without
most bitter experience. Let her get one.

Yes. People often see one side of the coin only. When people choose to ignore what all Ankita did for Naren and still say that Naren does not even need to acknowledge her.
When Ankitas lies are only higlighted and lies told by naren-pari and rushali are ignored.
When it is said that Ankita cheated naren by having sex with him pretending to be Ahana ignoring that the doctor, rushali , sirish , sunanda and others also pretended that Ankita was Ahana.
When Narens obnoxius behaviour towards ankita is justified but Ankita is expected to go tell him evrything. When Ankitas rights being trampled by Rushali are glossed over but naren needs his rights. Many such things ...
The best place for Naren is to be tied to his bed like an animal with sadistic kinnari hovering around. I want him to reach that state again forever. So that his precious sperm is safe!

Great topic OP! I agree with your points. The real Naren Karmakar has proven to be quite the selfish individual.

I would just like to point out that something similar happened in this show before.

Purvi also left her house when she was pregnant and went to Banaras alone. She also hid her pregnancy and the paternity of her baby when she left. Nonetheless, the outrage at that time was toward Ovi that because of Ovi poor, helpless Purvi had to leave.

Now something similar happened. Ankita left the city pregnant and without any proper resources. Ankita's baby's paternity is also not clear to some people (specifically Naren and Pari).

So all I want to say, if Ovi was to blasted for Purvi leaving then Naren (or Pari?) should be getting a lot of blame too for Ankita leaving. I know the situations aren't exactly same but they are quite similar.

I personally agree with you OP. I do believe Naren behaved selfishly in just encouraging Ankita to leave as it suited his purposes and his personal life. I also do hold Ankita responsible to some degree as I am so tired of the same old sacrificial main character in this show who wants to be the only one to decide what others do in every situation.

Purvi and Ankita's situations are completely DIFFERENT.
Purvi left Mumbai cause she was an UNWED Mother to be. She didn't want her family to face any humiliation on her account and didn't want to bring problems in Arjun-Ovi's marriage. Leaving Mumbai and moving to Kolkota (not Banaras) was Purvi's decision.
Ankita was Naren's WEDDED WIFE.
People were outraged at Ovi for other reasons which I won't repeat right now because this Thread is about Naren,Ankita and Pari.

TM sorry for bringing in Arvi and Ovi in this topic but I had to reply as Purvi and Ankita's situations are completely different and cannot be compared.

Purvi and Ankita are same in one way as both didn't bother to inform Ovi and Pari respectively about their sexual relationship. The partners have been treated like use and throw. The decision of Ovi and Pari could have been different if they had mentioned about this moot point. The writers have never tried to imagine atleast once how the other character would have reacted if they know that the person whom they love had sexual relationship with the other person and instead have given us the same old track.

@ ChemistryMajor- good to see you again!
I think you have really good points.

The parallels between Ankita and Purvi are striking.

Both left during pregnancies and into oblivion because they wanted others to be happy (same old sacrifice theme, even though I am not too much against it if done in a dignified manner without melodrama). Yet there are some differences in the tracks that make things complicated.

Purvi's being an unwed mother does not seem critical because most of us seemed to agree that the circumstances of conception should not impact the child. It is never their fault and each child should have equal rights and dignity regardless of in what circumstance they were conceived. In that track, Arjun actually loved Purvi very much, so he was not going to deny the paternity if the issue ever came up. Further, Arjun-Purvi were engaged - so there was a basis for their intimacy. Purvi's leaving was an act of sacrifice.

In Ankita's case, she also left - to a degree as sacrifice; but to a degree it is also a pragmatic solution to a very messy situation. She was a wedded wife all right, but to the insane but sweet Naren who loved her as Ahana. Ankita never existed for him. The new Naren - who is a completely different person and is madly in love with Pari - abhors the idea of having anything to do with Ankita . If he came to know about his paternity, he would badly insult Ankita and accuse her that she seduced an insane man. He did not wait to jump to conclusions about Shashank being a father just from Ankita's statement that she had loved Shashank. Additionally, the contract that Ankita was tricked into signing by Rushali has legal value. So, all in all it is such a messy situation that in order to allow two people in love to be together and avoid any further insults for herself and her baby, it is good for her to go away and not accept that Naren (who is an entirely different person now) is the father.

As for the baby's rights, if the father saw the baby only as a symbol of his helplessness due to which he lost the love of his life - what good is it for the baby? Being raised by Anikta as a single mother, the child will not have the privilege of money, but a strong woman like Ankita can raise the child with good values and dignity as did other women in this show.

and i knew it , that somehow people would love to drag in purvi yet again 🥱
somebody said that both ankita and purvi has same situation so if ovi was blamed why can't pari be blamed . i am having the same question to those people that if somebody supported ovi then why can't support pari . or if people hate purvi for telling lies then why not hate ankita for same.

i am no one's direct supporter in all this mess , but as purvi is dragged in between , i have to say something too. as shaili di(@style14) cleared about certain points for purvi and ankita 's difference , i would focus on pari and ovi. comparing ovi and pari is useless.

ovi - she knew it very well before the marriage and after the marriage that arjun has never loved her . arjun just kept on trying to get over purvi but was unsuccessful every time. it was directly and clearly told to her lot of times that arjun and purvi loves each other but she never accepted it . it took her a lot of time to leave arjun and that too because arjun and purvi had a kid . she never respected purvi's feelings till her time of redemption .moreover she asked for arjun to purvi very clearly in the form of deal. she kept on thinking that purvi has trapped arjun even when everybody kept on explaining her.

pari- she loved naren and misunderstood naren and got seperated . after two years when she got to know that naren is ankita's husband , she moved on . then when naren regained her memory and wanted her back still she wanted to move away. when she got to know about ankita's pregnancy she slapped naren and may have moved on . after her marriage when she confronted ankita about the baby still she said she would move away from ankita's life. in short she before the lie drama respected ankita's feelings and love even after knowing that ankita's love was one sided . she never wanted ankita to sacrifice and move away . moreover pari doesn't know the full truth about anken's relationship(i know many hints were given but they didn't understood and all , but the fact is she still don't know about many things). don't know what will happen after the leap.

now before people jump on me saying that i have supported purvi and now against ankita as pari is purvi's daughter . then please i have told it and telling yet again , i am no one's supporter in this generation . i stopped watching the show after the 20 years of leap.

i never supported purvi for hiding her pregnancy from arjun and neither do i feel that ankita should have lied to pari( not taking into account ovi and naren because ovi was extremely obsessed and so as naren with the additional quality of memory loss and weird behaviour)

actually no character in the show is sane all are big lunatics especially the leads weather it is archana manav or arjun purvi or ankita . every body is a big fool . being an arvi fan , i found arvi to be extrememly weak who don't fight and foolish for doing stuppid sacrifices. anyways hope the show ends soon as it has literally crossed it expiry date now.

another thing is that i have read many posts here and there saying anken should not be together but the fact is that they are gonna reunite . no matter how much we say but ekta and any other hindi show would show the reunioun of the leads even if it seems impossible . so be ready for the anken reunioun sooner or later , that's a fact.🥱

i think d situation is totally diff. arjun was in luv wid purvi n ovi married him forcefully. but her naren was in luv wid anki to may be for some tym n watever he done wid her, he did it happily. n i realllythink ankita is rite to leave naren n pari on their own way. how can a person be a gud father if he is not a gud human n asking a women to leave this world.
n we cant relate d character of arjun to naren. all will feel sorry for arjun for his situation. but no sympathy for naren he is an evil. pari may be a gud person but the perception she makes for people and d way she behaves is disgusting.

i was really crying wen purvi left for kolkata. but her we just want her to go to live in peace.

but 1 thing was same. no one cared about tem where tey have gone neither anybody tried to stop. both were alone.

Just to clarify - My post was in response to earlier posts and purely in terms of how the characters are placed in strange situations in the story line as those posts also discussed.

In my view there are both parallels and differences between the earlier and current situations. As I have mentioned in other posts, I see both Ankita and Pari as fair and giving characters and not at fault in any way. Purvi's act of leaving too is discussed in posts here as sacrifice, which is a good thing. But the theme of sacrifice is repeated too many times by the CVs. The problem is squarely with repeating the same themes again and again in the show and as I see, that is what many of us are complaining about.
