Pavitra Rishta Written Update 4th February 2014

Sunanda tells Raunak that Kinnari is talking to her mother but she has to talk to them later. Raunak is tense, thinks if Kinnari has told Attu everything then she will skin me alive!

Kinnari's mom tells her to take care of her husband and in-laws, if they are happy then she will also be happy!

Kinnari tells her mom she will talk to her later, mother says yes now ur in ur sasural so talking too much on the phone is not good! She disconnects, Kinnari goes to Sunanda and gives Raunak a hateful look.

Sunanda asks Raunak if something happened between them? ever since they returned, Kinnari is looking disturbed. What happened? Raunak says nothing happened. Sunanda says if nothing has happened then that's good! Raunak, from today ur starting a new life!

Sunanda looks at Kinnari who still seems upset, she asks whats the matter? Youre looking so upset, tell me what happened. Raunak looks scared!

Finally Kinnari says, Attu, I don't know anything abt these ritual so I was nervous!

Sunanda tells her why are u taking tension abt such small matters? They are customs so one has to follow them, no reason to be tense abt them. and my special request, wear this sari, okay?

Sunanda tells Raunak to take care of Kinnari and leaves. Kinnari looks at Raunak angrily.

Soham's house:

Ankita comes out of the room, Naren tells her, Ahana, ur here, Ive been looking for you! Now even Shashank's parents have left! Mansi became so emotional that even I felt like crying. But now everything is alright, all is well, right?

Ankita says everything is alright, Naren tells her they shd go as Attu will be waiting. Raunak and Kinnari must have reached home. Ankita agrees, then says she will be right back. Naren looks at her and says she seems to be in tension, whats the matter? Is there any problem?

Ankita says, Naren Sir, promise me u wont leave my side under any circumstances? Naren says, Yes, that is one of the seven vows of marriage! I will definitely fulfil it, I promise! Whatever happens, I will never leave ur side! Ive said that before and saying it again! Now happy? Smile? Can we go now?

Ankita tells him to ask the driver to bring the car, she will be there in 2 mins. Naren says okay and leaves.

Ankita is lost in a dilemma, on one side is Mansi, and other side is Shashank! I dont know what to do, whom shd I listen to? Shashank wants to know abt what happened, on the other hand Mansi doesn't want anyone to know! But I cannot be silent, I will get Raunak punished! Whatever happens...

Ankita's phone rings, its Sunanda who starts taunting right away, Kinnari and Raunak have come back, here its turmeric ritual, we are waiting for you! If the rituals there are over, then please come back home now!

Ankita thinks, that shameless guy has ruined my sister's life and now starting his married life!

Sunanda blasts her, have u forgotten that ur the bahu of this house? Its ur duty to do the rituals here!

Ankita says, I know my responsibilities very well! You wont get a reason to complain.

Sunanda says, you are a sad excuse of a daughter in law! For every woman, her brother in law's wedding is more important! She participates in that wedding with full enthusiasm and you? You are more concerned abt ur sister's wedding, not abt ur BIL? Today all rituals are supposed to be done by the sister in law. She is supposed to bless her BIL and wish him for his future life! And ur Raunak's SIL and ur presence here is very necessary! Do u understand what Im saying?

Ankita is crying, she says, Im coming! Sunanda warns her that she shd not need to call again.

Ankita goes into the room, Mansi is sleeping on the bed, Sonu tells Ankita that Manu Tayi just went to sleep and she told me shes tired and needs to rest for some time. Ankita holds Sonu's hand and goes to the bed, she sits down beside Mansi, takes Sonu on her lap and looks at Mansi tearfully. She caresses Mansi's head, then kisses her gently. Then she takes Sonu and leaves the room. Mansi opens her eyes and cries.

Sonu asks Ankita if she will be back? Anki says very soon. She kisses Sonu, then Prashant comes and says Naren jeeju went to get the driver as hes not answering phone calls. Ankita tells Prashant, I have to tell u something, Mansi is too emotional right now. I mean this happens when a girl is going to get married, then she feels scared a few days before, that what will happen, how it will go. And its very hard to leave the home where one grew up! But Prashu, its possible Mansi will cry inside, because shes upset. So if she cries, then let her cry, don't go to her or try to calm her down. Her heart will feel lighter if she cries.

Prashant suspects something and asks, Tayi, is everything alright?

Ankita says, Yes, everything is alright! This can happen, Prashant! Its very natural. Even I felt like that before wedding, one feels nervous! Im leaving now, take care of urself and also of Manu.

Prashant tells her not to take any tension, hes here! We will all take care of Manu, you go, jeeju must be waiting.

Soham comes in as they are talking. He says, Shes My daughter, now u understand why shes running away from the rituals before the wedding? Because she realized hes a poor guy, she doesn't want to marry him now! I told u before, u were insisting she marry Shashank, Ive been saying hes a penniless guy!

Prashant gets angry and says, Baba, what nonsense are u talking? Soham says, again ur interrupting me?

Ankita stops Prashant, he asks her why is she stopping him? Ankita says because shes here, she will talk to father.

Meanwhile Mansi woke up from their loud voices and shes listening to them from inside the bedroom.

Ankita cries as she tells Soham, do u even know what we are going through? Do u have any idea what we are doing or not doing? It doesn't matter to u what ur kids are doing, u only care abt ur gambling, ur drinking, and God knows what! We are alone here, we have no one to ask us if we need anything! Arent u ashamed of urself, if u cannot give us happiness then don't give, but at least don't give us grief! Please! Ankita folds her hands as she cries.

Soham says, Yes, I know everything, shes teaching me, saying I don't know anything! I understand everything!

Prashant tells Soham to leave. Ankita tells him to keep Soham away from Mansi. Shes here with us for a few days, after that she will leave, I don't want her to suffer for anything! Please!

Prashant hugs Ankita, inside the bedroom Mansi hugs herself.

A Hotel Lobby:

Purvi arrives, Chaddha is sitting on a sofa. Purvi says, Mr Chaddha? Chaddha stands up and says, Purvi ji, forgive me, I didn't see you! Purvi says, shall we talk abt work?

Chaddha says, we are meeting to talk abt work only, shall we sit at the coffee shop and talk?

Purvi tells him, we are here to talk abt business. Ur secretary called us and said that there are some companies which want to do business with us and u will tell us abt them.

Chaddha laughs, My secretary called you? Purvi says, Yes! You called me here to talk.

Chaddha says, No, no, Your secretary called me and she said that u wanted to meet me! I would have ignored it but firstly, I respect women a lot and secondly you are future Mrs Kapoor so I came here!

Purvi says, But neither I called u nor u called me, then who called us here?

Arjun's voice says, I called u here! Arjun appears and says, My secretary called u both. Chaddha says, Mr Arjun, what is this? Do u think I have time to waste? That I would get involved in these activities of urs. After today, if u call and disturb me like this, then I will call the cops on you!

Arjun holds up a hand to stop Chaddha's diatribe, he says, when u will get me arrested we will see! Before that if I call the cops and tell them how much bribes u have taken from how many contractors, and how many crooked deals u have done so far, then u will rot in jail for ur entire life! Should I call? So for now just answer my questions! Just do what u are asked to..

Chaddha blusters, I don't know what questions u are talking abt!

Arjun says, Im asking u that whatever u told me abt Rishabh Kapoor, you will tell Purvi all that right now!

Chaddha says, Look, I don't understand what truth ur talking abt! Arjun, do u know what ur problem is? You give invitation to trouble! You have crossed my path before and got into trouble!

Arjun says, Chaddha, don't change ur words now! two days ago when we met at the bar, u had told me everything abt Rishabh Kapoor! You told me RK trapped me in that drug case, please tell Purvi abt that!

Chaddha says, why shd I lie? When we didn't even have a conversation like that?

Arjun warns him, Don't lie now! chaddha says again, why shd I lie? Arjun gets mad and grabs Chaddha's collar, Don't lie, Chaddha!

Purvi pulls Arjun off Chaddha, what are u doing, Arjun? That's enough! Stop creating a scene! I cant even think u would stoop so low! And u made up a lie to call me here! You know this man misbehaved with me before, what if something happened?

Arjun says he wouldn't let Chaddha do anything as hes here! Purvi says, you are here! I don't need ur protection, okay? I don't want u to hover around me!

There are people around who are watching ArVi argue, Chaddha calls for Security!

Purvi folds her hands and says, and for God's sake, stop making up these false stories! Arjun says, do u think Im lying? Purvi says, Yes, you are lying! You have always lied to me till today and in future also u will lie to me! What have u done till today? Made fun of my feelings!

Arjun says, Purvi, Im telling the truth! That Rishabh Kapoor isn't a good guy! Purvi says, I don't want to believe anything, please leave! Just go from here! I don't want to...Arjun please go!

Arjun keeps on pleading with purvi but she refuses to believe him. Security men arrive, Chaddha tells them to take Arjun away as hes misbehaving there. Arjun glares at Chaddha then leaves. Chaddha asks Purvi to sit down, she glares at him and leaves.

Naren's house:

Naren and Ankita return home. Sunanda is standing in the hall talking to a servant, Naren signals Ankita to be quiet and sneaks past behind Sunanda. Ankita sees Raunak coming down the stairs and she stops and looks at him with hatred. Raunak stops, she remembers Mansi telling her Raunak had raped her!

Ankita goes up the stairs towards Raunak, she goes to him grabs his kurta and says, Shameless! Didn't u feel ashamed raping my sister? She slaps him hard! She pushes him to the wall, he falls against some photos, then rolls down the stairs!

Sunanda and Naren are shocked at Ankita's actions.

It was all Ankita's imagination. She didn't do anything, just staring up at Raunak with fury. Ruanak thinks why is Ankita looking at me so angrily? Did mansi tell her everything? No, she cant be that stupid! She knows very well what will be the outcome of that!

Naren was still signaling Ankita to sneak upstairs, but Sunanda sees them and calls Ankita to come near. Ankita goes to Sunanda who berates her again, Ive explained to u many times but it seems u didn't take my words seriously! Now if u don't fulfil ur duties as bahu properly, then u will see the worst of me!

Ankita nods unemotionally and says she will bring the prayer platter. Sunanda calls Naren who comes giving excuses that they were getting out on time but got delayed, Sunanda says its okay! You tell me what happened to Ankita? Why is she behaving like that?

Naren says, Oh yes, attu! Ahana is a bit emotional. Now Mansi will get married, there are little brothers and sisters at home, who will look after them? u know their dad naa...he drinks.

Sunanda scoffs, Naren says, she doesn't understand, mansi will live in this city only, in Shashank's house, we can go meet her anyday or they can come over! So she wil be fine, I will take care of her!

Sunanda nods, Naren leaves.

Sunanda comes to Ankita and asks what is she waiting for? She tells Ankita to do aarti of Kinnari.

Sunanda tells Raunak and Kinnari, today's rituals are blessings from us elders. We are praying to Lord Ganapati to fill the new bride's lap with happiness, wealth and new progeny.

Ankita does the tilak of Kinnari and does aarti. Ankita thinks to herself, I dont know if God exists in this world but if He does, then please God, protect this poor girl, even an enemy shd not have such a scoundrel husband. But now her life is connected to Raunak so give her the strength to suffer his consequence!

Ankita was leaving after doing Kinnari's aarti but Sunanda asks where is she doing and to come and do the aarti of Raunaq. Raunak smirks. Sunanda says, Raunak is ur younger BIL and its Vahini's responsibility to do aarti of her dewar who is like her younger brother.

Raunaq says, Attu I never knew our rituals are so interesting! I am loving it.

Ankita angrily throws flowers on his head, does his tilak while he grins but then she suddenly drops the thali with a loud clatter. Everyone is startled.

Sunanda says, Ankita! What did u do? Dropping the aarti thali like this is bad luck for the new couple.

Ankita says, Bad luck? For this person? Who doesnt know the meaning of being a brother, a husband or a devar, he cares only about himself. She says, If I had my way I would burn him with this diya but this sacred fire doesnt even want to touch him. He just deserves this slap! She slaps him hard.

Rushali-Shirish, Kinnari, Sunanda, Naren, everyone is shocked!

Sunanda asks, how dare you? How did u have the guts to slap Raunak? Hes a son of this house, u cannot hit him like that! Ankita says, Why cant I hit him? If u knew what he did then u would also do what I did today. Do u want to know what he did?

Sunanda asks, What did he do? tell me! Ankita asks Raunaq to tell the truth. Will u expose ur misdeeds or will I tell Attu what u did?

Raunaq says, I don't know what are you saying. Ankita says, you dont have to act so innocent because u are not. You can show this false face to someone else, not me! Ankita grabs Raunak's collar and says, what did you think that I will keep quiet being daughter in law of this house? You ruined my sister's life. You will be punished for this!

Sunanda yells, Ankita! Enough is enough! You are the bahu and Raunak is the son of this house! You cannot treat him like this! Tell clearly what did he do? Ankita tells that Raunaq raped my sister Mansi. Everyone is shocked.

Precap: Ankita tells Naren that Raunak had raped Mansi! Im telling the truth, please believe me, Im not lying! Naren is shocked and pushes Ankita! She falls on the ground. He says, How can u be so ridiculous!How can u accuse my brother like this? Do u have a proof? Ahana, Raunak is a Karmarkar and he cant do that! Naren gets hysterical, throwing things around, saying, Shes mad! How can she say this!

Raunak and Sunanda rush to control him!.
