Sushant is youngest of 5 siblings. He has 4 elder sisters. He was studying to be a Chemical Engineer but left it mid-way for a career in showbiz. He joined Shiamak Davar's dance troupe. His first big break on television was in Balaji's Kis Des Mein Mein Hain Mera Dil where he played younger brother Preet of protagonist Prem. He was later selected to play the lead Manav Deshmukh in Balaji's Pavitra Rishta. This role brought him accolades and made him a household name.

DOB-19^th December, 1984

Ankita was born and brought up in Indore. She first participated in Cinestars Ki Khoj. Later she struggled for years in the industry before finding the lead role of Archana Lokhande in Balaji's Pavitra Rishta. This was the role that made her famous throughout the country and she won many awards for it.

Sushant and Ankita met on the sets on Pavitra Rishta. They were very good friends before they started dating. Both just knew they liked each other but Ankita confessed first. Sushant proposed her on national television during Valentine's Day episode of Jhalak Dikhla Ja.
