The Goodness & Flaws of Purvi.Atleast in my POV:Mod note pg2 - Page 2

Purvi would probably be a pretty normal and good person if not for her mahaanta acts. That's the nene one reason why I dislike Purvi and even Archu. But Archu has learned something and it didn't take her 20 years to realize all of it. She also needs to lose tht "I have to act like a saint" thinking. Every human jas there own desires and wishes. She has probably heard stories of Archu acting saintly when Purvi was younger from Sulo pr Arvhu herself. Purvi considers Archu perfect and so she is her role model. Purvi tries to live up to tht ideal. And this is the primary cause of her bhalayi.

@Soniyaa. One question: Why hasn't Purvi gotten yet tht wht she thinks is their bhalayi actually causes them pain. The aro I marriage was one big example. She had seen their fighting, their pain and wht friendship they had before was broken. another example was tht baby exchange. Ovi's happiness had lasted for about two weeks or so and then came the pain tht when she knew she actually lost the baby

In short, I guess we all agree tht Purvi needs a reality check from some ppl. They need to drill into her head tht her acts of bhalayi are actually cause ppl pain

I cant answer why purvi hasnt gotten it yet that a lot of her choices have backfired. This is on the writers. I am not Purvi and nor do I write for PR or part of their creative team. Im just a regular person like you. I can only guess like I stated earlier that Purvi believes in her mind that she didn't do wrong b/c she doesnt know what she did was wrong in first place! She rationalized her reasons behind what and why she did whatever. She did what she could at the time in a hurry bc like i said she feels the weight of the world on her shoulders. She always feels she has to "fix" everything for D family. She has to make it perfect for her mom. Other than that, i cant tell you why she did what she did and why she doesn't realize she caused pain. In a sense, we all cause pain to others but don't realize it b/c we're so engrossed in our own pain. We're so worried abt ourselves and our pain we become blind to whats going on around us.

In the end, how many apologies have you silently accepted that you never actually got from people who hurt you? That's life.

Goodness

She has good intentions (most of the time) - I have said this many times. Her intentions are usually good, however whatever she tries to do she messes it up.

She tries to help people - Even though the results r not always good, I can give her some credit for this.

She respects her parents and grandparents - This is one thing I fully agree with.

Flaws

Impulsiveness - Most of PR has this problem, so I don't really blame her. Like Archana though, her impulsiveness has caused major damage. Not all of of PR has that achievement. One big evidence of her impulsiveness: arvi seperation.

Self-righteousness - If I had to pick only one flaw for Purvi, I would pick this. Purvi is big on tho and personally it annoys me a lot.
The definition:convinced of one's own righteousness especially in contrast with the actions and beliefs of others
Using this definition, I can rightly say that Purvi is self-righteous because she always think she's right and that her decisions are more right than anyone else. Not that it's bad to think you are right. But u should listen to others too. Probably, the only person she listens to is Archana.


Feel free to disagree. If u think something is wrong or think that something should be added , state it and tell me why. If I agree, I might even include it or take it off.

humans are humans. they can be good beings and have good intentions as you said but their actions may have good or bad consequences/reactions and depending on what side you're on or how the action affects you... you'll perceive that human to be good or bad.

She's a good person but like you said she has those flaws. She never deliberately did what she has on purpose with malice in her heart. I feel like she always feels the weight of the world is on her shoulders and feels the constant need to "fix" everything and in doing so she denies others their right to free will and the chance to fix things their own way. She's always wanting to make others happy but doesn't realize she's actually causing them pain.

but that's what makes her human. nobody is perfect. we've all made mistakes in the moment thinking it was the best decision when in fact it was made impulsively in anger, happiness or frustration. and we never realize the consequence in that moment until way after.

BTW if you read that post, I had said if a Purvi hater ( and by hater I mean a hater with capital H) takes up a challenge and writes about her goodness along with her flaws, I would do the same about Ovi too..

But , ma foi, didn't you tell me in that thread that you are a NEUTRAL viewer who although show INCLINATION towards Ovi, do not HATE Purvi and recognize her goodness as well.

So, what I am to believe?. That you are NOT a NEUTRAL and NON-BIASED viewer as you claim to be?

And you HATE her in spite of those tall talks?

I agree with what you have written about her though. Also add being JUDGMENTAL , being STUPID in the list of her flaws. And her NEED to see her mother happy through her efforts can be listed as her goodness and her flaw as well.

A few days back Mods closed a thread citing that they do not allow "TIT for TAT" posts...
