Tejaswini, I understand what you meant and I agree. The thing is, they don't need to bring anyone to play Pia. They don't even need to hire someone to voice her once in a while. They can just show arjun talking to her over the phone, the audience hearing the one-sided convo. Like how Ovi did in the recent episode. In fact, they don't even need to do that. They can just have him remembering pia by himself, lamenting how he has two daughters but both are away from him. They can have him remembering memories of pia as a baby---with a doll. Just him saying goodbye to the doll as pia when Ovi leaves for australia. There are so many ways to show that he cares, even a little. Especially when you have the juxtaposition of Ovi talking to Pia and arjun talking to pari. He awkwardly asks her if she's missing Ovi, not bothering to take the phone and stays silent when Ovi says she is all Pia has. Compare that with his talk with pari and Ovi's reaction when she tells him he has to tell the truth and spend his last two months with his family. Pia might not be important to the story, but she exists. It's not just callous to not have him think of her, ever. It's yeah, inhuman, and unacceptable for someone who's supposed to be the second lead/hero.

Archana's siblings fading out is not the same because they all had their individual stories in PR 1 and then the story has always been about archana and manav and their family---the core family, which is their children, and parents to some extent. Ovi and pia are central to the story. Its the same with archana and manav--worse, in fact. Both still haven't given more than a second thought about Ovi even after finding the truth. I had heard that Ovi wasn't coming back, and that was the reason nobody even spoke of her. It didn't make any sense then--how many extra minutes would it take for the parents to mouth dialogues about how Ovi is doing once in a while? 2 or 3 max? And now that she is back and an important part of the story (not that she ever wasn't), do we hear either of her parents giving more than a second's thought to her? I like characters that are real, but this is not realism. If it is, it's not how the good guys/protagonists behave. It's not even how normal parents behave-- Kool mentioned about how the villains of the story were better parents and I completely agree. In fact, Soham the criminal drunkard seems to be a better parent than arjun and archana and manav. At least in his case, he has the excuse of not having the resources; he's unstable, a single parent out of his depth and he's had the worst upbringing possible. But even he seems to care for his children, especially now. Money might be the most important thing to him, but there is still some thought given to the kids he sired.

You do have a point .Pia has been mentioned many times in the last few weeks ..She was part of the conversation between Ovi and Arjun and Archana also mentioned her ...even Purvi wanted to see her ..

It is so funny, come to think of it, both Pari and Pai had very similar fate. They both grew up father-less. In Pari's case, she actually is being shown to hate Arjun - her Mother (the great amar premi) filled her ears about the father 'living with her sister, cheating her mother, whatever' and wrote hate diaries about her ex-hubby. Pari grew up in that environment. Shouldn't she be the one to adopted a different surname all together??/

Look at Ovi - whatever it is, she doesn't hate Arjur, has some kind of relationship with the father of her daughter. Came running due to one phone call. Willing to take the family's wrath and still get not a single 'Thank you' from Arjun - Pia, for all we know, maynot hate Arjun. But still why she has/uses the Kirloskar name😆😆

Oh, I forget - it because for the love of the 21st Century - Hai Bhagwaan😕

Well, I am not necessarily going into Trps and stuff, but just looking around the forum, post-leap - the forum came alive as soon as Ovi/Shruti entered. We might not be on the same page on the issue, but the character stirs up enough to want to debate. I know, I am more active - just because of the character. Now, I don't think Cvs are that dumb, not to realize what creates controversies and keeps audience glued. There was really no need to intro Ovi - they could have easily shown Arvi milan and countless meri dil yeh shor kore whatever - but surely the money didn't lie there. So, I am sure CVs knows what keeps the show going - it is seen in the TRPs...afterall they are in the business to make money...

Well i for one would love it if Pari changes her name out of pure hate just as Gogol changed his in the Namesake though there it was embarassment . What i want is the amar premis to get together but losing their child ...she should hate the duo . Ah! Sweet wishes ! Anyways gotta go 😆😆

Yes! Good to see everyone again! 😛 I think we all disappeared for a while. Glad to see Ovi back and all of you too.

Speaking of Arjun's indifference to Pia, I simply have no words for it. I was gonna make a thread about it but didn't want to waste energy. I mean his utter lack of concern, consideration, and even an ounce of affection for Pia is simply appalling. Even his nonchalance and inaction to fight for Pari is horrible. But at least he acknowledges her existence and expresses that he loves her. He has shown absolutely zero interest in Pia and we all know why that is. It's because she isn't his amar prem ki nishani (though he has been a horrible father to that nishani too).

She's been Kirloskar since day 1. Purvi said herself "at least she will have her fathers name" when she gave her away.
