I don't think she is an idiot, this is her childhood friend and father of her child so its only natural she will help him even though its obvious she does not agree with him. I don't think Ovi will be able to keep this a secret for long, either she will tell Purvi herself or the two will have a face off and she will reveal everything in anger.

from the starting we saw ovi's love for arjun was just possessiveness and madness just like teenage girl but to day i thought ovi's love towards arjun is pure and more than everything...infact ovi loves arjun more than purvi...her ego, self respect etc...its good to see how she try to understand arjun that he should tell the truth to purvi and pari...but sad arjun did not understand ovi's point.

Knowing Arjun I doubt he would remember Ovi if he were better again. But it sure would be an interesting twist if he did. That would be a positive. And perhaps a good end to this story. Believe it or not, I don't hate Ovi. I just call her a wicked witch to make blood pressures go up. ;)

Interesting, but a very unlikely twist, won't you say? I don't think if that happens - Arjun, the character can and will survive here 😆, he will be judged and hanged to death in this very forum😉. Btw the bp part, I too have done that sometimes😉

Haha! Maybe he would be! But it would be a very good end. A lot of lessons can be taken from that ending. I doubt it'll happen tho.

Yes, making BPs go up is fun. I think I pushed too many of Dabulls buttons :( she wont even say hi !!!

true love huhh she dont even no what is the meaning of true love

Umm, she never sold her parents. But if by that you mean made a deal to accept the mother (who ignored her for 18 years) in turn for Arjun (the guy who promised to marry her and then ditched her), then Purvi also traded Arjun didn't she? She also used him as currency to buy her mother's happiness. So how can that be considered true love?

I hate it that Ovi is further wrecking her life for someone so ungrateful! And unsurprisingly, she's still evil and selfish. Interestingly, the common theme in all the lopsided relationships shown in this serial, one person keeps on taking and the other keeps on giving in every relationship. Archana takes from Manav and expects that he will follow her most irrational demands. Purvi demands and expects the most extremely unnatural things from arjun and gets it too, and then also gets to blame him for them. Arjun demands the most asinine things from Ovi, the biggest things she can give--her love, loyalty and friendship.
Each of these people take the other person in the relationship for granted, taking their superiority and dominance in the relationship for granted. Still, with Archana-Manav and Purvi-Arjun, there is something that could be called love. Something like caring for the givers when the takers demand and expect the most ridiculous things. Some remorse for it, and some fear that maybe, just maybe it might be the last time they can demand each time they ask for one more thing.

The sad thing in Ovi-Arjun's relationship is that while Arjun demands and expects and takes everything Ovi can give for granted, he's never afraid of losing her. Of losing the rights she gives him freely. There's no remorse in him for anything she loses when she gives something else to him. No caring that every time he asks her for something, she's giving up one more thing for him. No guilt. No love, no friendship, no affection. Just no emotion for her at all. It is such a completely one-dimensional relationship that its heartbreaking. And honestly, I would hate for any man or woman to be in one like this. Where there's absolutely no sharing at all, only one sided transactions. I would hate both the man and the woman. I would pity them. And so, I pity Ovi. I didn't pity her when she got married to arjun the way she did. I didn't pity her all the times she showed him her vulnerability, her love for him which was her one weakness. I pity her now. Which is just sad, really, because there really is no character on this show (and a lot of shows) as well etched and performed as her.

See I was thinking of making a post about the love between these three characters but since your post is about ovi, i'll stick to her and arjun. today indeed I believe that onir may have been an outsider in this triangle but ovi was never an outsider between arvi. she was always a part of them. arvi never came devoid of ovi, simply because she and purvi do love each other as sisters in their own strange and twisted way and indeed when arjun dies, the only person who can maybe guess at the pain purvi will feel will be ovi and vice versa.
i think many people have talked about how arjun NEVER loved ovi but I disagree. he didn't love ovi in the same way he loved purvi but she is undeniably a part of arjun in a way that he could never rid himself of loving her. not in the same passionate crazy burning, self destructive way he loves purvi, but he loves ovi in an utterly selfish way. its the love that develops when someone unconsciously believes that the other person was made to serve their purpose in your life- the love for a possession. thats what ovi is to him. someone who'll be there in whatever role he wants her in. and he knows that. thats y she is his go to. the one person he shares himself with when purvi can't do it or he doesn't want her to. its sad but i hope he realizes this before he dies and does one nice thing for her before he dies. even if its getting to know pia or just something simple.
I
really hope ovi has someone in her life who will be there for her when arjun dies (fingers crossed she's married). otherwise he will leave her even more empty than the last 20 years. having lost everything, including the man she became the object of everyones hatred for. someone said purvi has it the worst but she has people who love her and will care for her and help her through it all when arjun dies. if she realizes the truth, then yes its guilty conscience for purvi but she is surrounded by loved ones who will help her through the guilt and help her see the love that arjun left her. manav didn't seem like he wanted to find ovi today or even that he cared. there was no remorse that pia and ovi had noone and they didn't know where they were for 20 years. so i don't think there opinion will change once purvi realizes the truth. they will probably yell at ovi for not telling the truth.

and here were waneeka darling your post about Ovi being an idiot comes in- she was born to fools and thus raised as such. she has nowhere to go. if her family is a mud puddle then arjun is a swamp. either direction she goes, the mud will be slung on her. arjun at least for all his flaws never questioned Ovi's integrity. even when he saw pia, he never thought she was someone else's. he just knew. ovi loved only him in that way at that time. her parents and purvi thought she was vile enough to be a home wrecker! arjun at least gave her the minimum earned respect. so now you tell me, between arjun's request and her vile family, who does she choose? the easiest answer is noone. but its not always that easy to just cut yourself off. she is an idiot but she is being honest to the one relationship that gave her pia. unknowingly arjun gave her the biggest gift of her life and she's trying to give back just a bit of that I guess.

ovi has absolutely noone but Pia in her life (or at least thats what we've been shown so far). But at least before there was the hope that she and Pia maybe accepted back by her family, but if the charade works out then thats forever condemnation for Ovi. She lives the life of a widow for the man whose wife she couldnt live as. Its sad that Arjun is dying, its sadder that he can't seem to share it with the one person who he claims is his soul mate. Its sad that Purvi will not even get two months of the man she craved for 20 years. But to me ovi's story is just plain tragic- she gets everything of Arjun's- his sickness, his sorrows, his loneliness, his child, his confidence, his friendship but she never gets Arjun.

the saddest part is that Arjun never realizes that what she does for him comes at a great personal cost. ovi's effort for this man comes from a sense of misplaced gratitude. but somewhere arjun believes that this is what she should do for him. just as purvi feels that arjun should just do as she asks of him because he loves her, arjun feels the same way about ovi. that feeling of possessiveness, where you can ask anything of a person, thats purvi's way of showing love to arjun and arjuns way of loving ovi. but he has no acknowledgement that once he turns to dust, all he will leave behind for ovi and pia are shards of a broken dream, an incomplete childhood and the curse of his (purvi and pari) and her family (d-clan). wish he would atleast give them something that isn't a burden.

OMG Tejaswini what a beautiful post, esp when you wrote: "she gets everything of Arjun's- his sickness, his sorrows, his loneliness, his child, his confidence, his friendship but she never gets Arjun. " Very very true. Ovi's story is truly tragic, although I really doubt if the CVs ever aiming for it. Looking at their skills [or the lack thereof] at penning a proper script, I think this story that viewers can see of Ovi's devotion to Arjun is just serendipity. Its a shame that she is always painted as a villain no matter what her intentions/actions are. I really wish someday Arjun understands her importance in his life and gives her credit where its due. Even if it is for recognizing her efforts at giving their daughter, Pia, a proper parvarish. Maybe during this charade, they can show us Arjun-Ovi's friendship like never before.
