After Bade Achhe Laggte Hain, which recently moved forward by seven years, producer Ekta Kapoor is now focusing on the impending leap of around 20 years in Pavitra Rishta.
We were the first to inform you that Ankita Lokhande, who plays protagonist Archana, will play her own granddaughter in the show. According to sources, she agreed to return to the show on the condition that the story will focus on her and she would get to play a younger character. And now the makers are busy finalizing the remaining cast. Actor Karan Mehra, last seen in Rajan Shahi's Amrit Manthan, is almost finalized to enter the show. He will either play the male lead opposite the younger Ankita or be seen as the parallel lead.
When contacted, Karan said, "Nothing is confirmed yet."
