Now that Arjun is no longer married to Ovi, he seems to have all the time in the world. Before his work used to hold him captive. Ovi used to wait up on him while he was always busy. He never made up for it

Today when Purvi showed a bit of insecurity about work related matters, Arjun pulled a full stop by romancing her and surprising her by planning a date at a fancy restaurant of her favourite cuisine. He even sang for her and danced with her. He never did anything to reasure Ovi when she would show insecurity. I think it's a slap to Ovi's face everytime Arjun mentions that he did his best at keeping Ovi happy. 🤪As if. He did not even show any consideration to Ovi's feelings, not as a friend and certainly not as a husband. It is only when his and Ovi's child was concerned that he gave a damn. When you give more imporatance to your employee's feelings than you ever did your wife's, it goes to show what type of man you are. He didn't gave to show grand gesture, even small things would suffice to reasure Ovi. He did none of that. I fail to see how Arjun and Ovi are considered "best friends" because even friends care more about each other than Arjun ever did for Ovi. And after the relationship ended, he has the audacity to say that he considers Ovi as just a frience. Really? Who has (continuous) sex with their "friend"

Arjun and Purvi can shameless romance under the skeletal remains of their old relationships.

Good points👍🏼 but why would someone be romantic with someone he/she does not love? and the sex thing well god knows why he would do that when he had no feelings in the first place🤪

Thanks! What does it mean? Hmmm. It means it's my opinion, my post. You're free to interpret it as you wish though ;)

The naivete here astounds me sometimes! Men (and women) do have sex without love. Its called Biology. Married men do sleep with their wives and produce half a dozen kids without any feelings involved. Thats reality, harsh but true!
Arjun did try to make his marriage work. He took Ovi to parties, praised her contributions in his life, but Ovi wasnt satisfied with all that. She knew his heart belonged to Purvi so she was never satisfied with his body. She shd have thought abt that before she made that deal.
Arjun was fond of Ovi as a friend, but romance is something else. He fulfilled his husbandly duties, was affectionate to her as well but could not be romantic with her as he didnt love her.

Di, you're right. There is a difference between sex and making love. People can have sex with their spouses yet love another. It just becomes a duty then.

You both have a point and I respect your POV. But please also consider this. While there is something called biology, there is also something called restrain in a cultivated person. One can understand it as reality but one does not expect it in a person projected as a central character of "Pavitra Rishta." Would the audiences have accepted the same kind of biology between Onir and Purvi?

And I should also add, insecurity is also a part of love - remember Radha kaise na jale? So, if we are trying to understand Arjun's loveless sex, we could also try understanding Ovi's insecurity.

Thank you for your response muse10! 😊

As you said I see this "retrain" possible in reality but not in PR bc it's a drama at the end of the day. How many times have we seen this track of lovers separated and one lover being married to another and possibly even a sibling as in this case with the sisters? Then the track of swapping babies etc is just very predicable also! Dramas just need to be made complicated and personally I think the PR cvs had no idea where they were going with this track especially with the sudden exit of ovi's character to Canada.

And as for the question of would audiences accept purvi and onir having sex... Idk about audiences.
But for me it wouldn't make a difference.

***i have a lot to add but must make it work in time so to be continued...***

Thank you. I agree that it is a drama and I also agree about the CVs not knowing where this is going. But my problem has been with this paradoxical attitude of presenting what is projected as unorthodox morality with totally traditional and cliche expressions like "eternal love" and "Pavtira Rishta."

see you later
