Actress Parineeti Chopra
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is excited about his first film as a solo hero ' Shuddh Desi Romance. The one-film-old actor will be seen locking lips with actors Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor in the rom-com. "A kissing scene is same as killing somebody in the film. We have to be convincing. There

is no sense of uncomfort. I don't have any problem with it," he explains.
The 27-year-old reveals that he had wanted to work with Parineeti since long. "I remember when I was shooting for Kai Po Che, I saw Ishaqzaade. I told Abhishek (Kapoor, director) that she is such a spontaneous, fab actor and I would really like to work with her. And luckily, I got to work with her in the next film. I learnt a lot from her," he says. The former daily soap artist doesn't want to be a star. "If you want to be a star, then you can compete with other stars. But if you just want to be an actor, you just want to learn and try different things. If I don't get the right kind of films, I might go back to theatre or do short films. And I'll be still as excited as I'm right now," he says.

After playing a Gujarati
character in Kai Po Che,
handsome Sushant Singh
Rajput is all set to play the
famous Bengali character
detective Byomkesh
Bakshy. In fact, in order to
get into the skin of the
character, Sushant is
actually learning Kolkata
inside out. Along with him,
was director Dibakar
Banerjee who is excited to
make a film on the most
celebrated characters of
Bengali literature and
cinema in collaboration
with Yash Raj Films.
In fact, reputed late
filmmaker had wrapped
up the shooting of his
adaptation of Byomkesh
Bakshy. It may be noted
here, a Bengali film titled
Byomkesh Bakshy has
already been made in
2010 which starred Abir
Chatterjee and Saswata
Chatterjee in the lead
roles. The films however,
are based on the fictional
detective Bengali
literature created by
Sharadindu
Bandyopadhyay which
was later adapted in a TV
series in 1993. In fact,
Doordarshan is all set to
revive the famous show
on television again which
will soon on air.
However, to watch the
popular detective in 70
mm celluloid is altogether
a different experience for
which Sushant is leaving
no stone unturned. Let's
catch a glimpse what is
the actor up to at Kolkata
and his understanding of
the city.

today i saw him at college
street at 2:15 pm without
any security riding on his
back with 3 other people.
he was very much trying to
hide his face and not seek any attention but i
recognized him at once. still i did not approach him
since the place was very crowded. he was very lucky to escape unnoticed. all the very best to him for his upcoming release SDR.
