I really think we should not put all our expectations in one bottle when there are ocean full of opportunities. Whether the rumour of Happy New Year is true or not, Ankita is in a great place either way. I am one of those who is still skeptical about the rumour because it is very easy for one article to be re-manufactured into several. Entertainment is not hard news for the facts or the source to be accurate. Several organisations just pick up news from other news sources. I really want the word from the horse's mouth to celebrate and want to keep my expectations in check so that it does not lead to disappointment. In fact, I see no reason why there should be disappointment at all. Either way it is great! If she indeed gets HNY then she would be debuting opposite Shahrukh Khan, if not then too its no loss as she would be strengthening her position as the 'female SRK' in the TV industry. Medium is not important, your hold on your skills is. Sushant may put me off with his shabby hairstyles in interviews, but he really impressed me when he defended television as a medium for actors when Amit Sadh was denigrating it. If you are successful, you will be recognized irrespective what field you are in. For both Sushant and Ankita, their goal should be excellence, growth and to learn from their mistakes...everything else will fall in place. Obviously, I wish them the best. I would have even if I was not their fan. *Fingers-crossed* for both of them!

Very well said Bonne...and not just them , this is true for all of us ...
At any age and in any condition we should always think about doing better than what we did before ..Our competition should be with ourselves and we should just keep working towards getting better at our chosen skill...

But yes, I do not want Ankita to compromise being supporting cast in Arjun and Purvi's love story. If that's the alternative, I want Ankita to quit and look for better opportunities whether it is in TV or films. Your work should also have the scope for growth. You aim higher only if your work allows you to do so. So I hope Ankita has good options to choose from.

If BT is not going forward with season 2 and a new role for Ankita, then I feel the same too. I do not want Archana to be a spectator to Arjun-Purvi's love story. It will obviously be little more difficult leaving now than it was before considering Ankita sure must have come back with a set of agreements with Ekta. But really what's the point of continuing if you are not getting work satisfaction? An employee-employers relationship is of give and take, Ankita is no way personally obligated to Ekta. I hope Ankita's new contract is not as tightly bound as the earlier one.

nope senior actors contract are made on actors wish and clauses are according to how they want it... contract is not a problem but if anki is up for season 2 and if any little thing goes wrong with this it will be blamed on her anyways production PR literally hates ankita hardly seen them releasing any good article about ankita...😕

Bonne and Tanya - loved both of your posts and agree!

Indian television is always scoffed at by BW because most shows are usually the same repetitive stuff repackaged with a new cast and name. Regardless of the medium, one should work towards making oneself better and looking for new opportunities that better showcase their skills and challenge them. Whether, Ankita makes the cut for the film or not, that shouldn't matter. What matters is that she was at least considered for such an opportunity and she can look for other projects to show what she is capable of doing. Ankita has improved so much from her start on PR and there is such a tremendous growth in her. My favorite Archana scenes are the more restrained and subtle ones Ankita does. She can only grow from here on.

@ bold - I sort of agree with this. Not just some of the "anonymous" actors of PR but also the production team as well seem to want to make her look as bad as possible. There were articles that the production team was tired of her demands and that the crew would be able to breathe once Ankita is out of the show. I feel bad for her. There are very few among the crew and cast who appreciate Ankita while the rest make her out to be some drama queen.

I think Nina when you are frank and honest you are bound to face these scenarios especially in the entertainment industry where fakeness rain supreme.
Anki being honest and to the face ,guess not many enjoy her company but Anki keeps doing her work and keeps giving her best.I hope that she gets the very best she deserves.
With Sushant being there as her biggest support ,she knows she will get the best.😊
Keeping fingers crossed now for the announcement.
