While the whole team of Happy New Year is tightlipped about the newcomer, sources reveal that she is young, pretty girl who will fit easily to the role of a bar dancer. It is also said that Farah had auditioned almost 70 girls before she finally found the perfect girl for her next directorial venture.

Farah admits that she has finalised the lead actress for the movie but is waiting for her friend SRK to come back and see her auditions. Once SRK gives his approval, Farah will work on the newbie's acting and dancing skills.

It is no new news that Farah and team of 'Happy New Year' have been on the lookout for leading lady to star opposite Shahrukh Khan and had ruled out industry bombshells from the list. So, with no Deepika, Priyanka, Katrina or Anushka, it was a big mystery about the leading lady.

There were rumours that it would be Dhrasti Dhami from 'Madhubala' would be bagging the role, but looks like the arrow struck Ankita instead of Dhrasti. As ever, Farah and Shahrukh are being mum about the entire episode and wouldn't tell a word.

But a source from inside the HNY team tells us, "He (SRK) spoke to Farah. Once Ankita came back, she met the director and now has apparently signed on the dotted line." On the other hand, Farah had silenced all rumours for a while stating "Let me come back (from Dubai) and make the formal announcement. It could well be sooner than you can think."

News is that the role of HNY's leading lady was for that of a maharashtrian girl and supposedly Ankita fits the bill. While all seems to be going great for this TV actress, her current team in small screen says that the lady is too ruthless and doesn't have much regard for time or work professionalism.
