Director Maneesh Sharma's upcoming film, Shuddh Desi Romance starring Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput is a small town love story. Just a few days ago we saw the digital poster of the film which was quite kitsch. Now, the teaser of this love story is out, and the visuals are cute and quirky, especially because of the use of Doordarshan's old Anekta mein ekta children's song Ek chidiya in the background. The digital slow motion and the way the teaser has been cut make it unique.
Parineeti plays the character of a salwaar kameez-clad small town girl Gayatri ' she also loves to smoke sitting on the pot ' and Sushant plays an innocent desi boy Raghu. We definitely like the fresh pairing of Parineeti and Sushant ' they look quite cute together. Watch the teaser of this Yash Raj Films' movie and tell us if you liked it.

Find out for yourself in Maneesh Sharma directed romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance, the latest from the stable of Yash Raj Films (YRF). Maneesh has earlier helmed Band Baaja Baarat and written Chak De! India.
"The movie will be a fresh and very real love story about the hair-raising minefield between love, attraction and commitment," read a statement from YRF.
Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra, the film takes a classy, candid look at the affairs of the heart in today's desi heartland. It also stars Rishi Kapoor along with debutant Vaani Kapoor, among others.
The film, written by Jaideep Sahni, has been produced by Aditya Chopra.
The film releases worldwide on 13 September, 2013.
