Yes, I completely remembered Shravani's case. I had eventually accepted Shravani's premarital sex, but my real issue was really her insistence that she had a right over Manav in my POV. I did not think it was right for Arman to suffer for her mistakes.
I know they were thinking of her well-being and society, but since I am not exposed to that aspect of the culture, I was not as sensitive to her dilemma in terms of marrying Manav. If he was not already married to Archana, then I would have understand the union to protect her.

Kalapi, this world is filled with so many complicated cultures, lifestyles and varying value system, that it can be overwhelming at times, as we all have to interact at some point even indirectly.

Hilly, what could have happened to Shravani, does happen in real life. If a brother dies and the bhabi is pregnant, the bhabi might be married off to a younger brother. So, if a sister dies with small children, there are examples that the Sister is married off...I do not know how or if there is any mental effects of such union - but happens - I do not deny that. But, a hubby is passed around like candy - when both sisters are alive - and who knows, Ekta might show Archana divorcing Arovi and marrying Arjun off with Purvi. This is really gross. One thing that I never could accept, is how a Girl can sleep with a man and give him up the very next day, that too in the family. You know, then this man also sleeps with the other sister😲 and now excahnge os hands again going to happen - just to prove amar prem ...simply gross. The logic is simply messed up and to be devoid of any honor. Whatever, I am done with amking any commentary on the second lead...too gross. Can the 2 sisters imagine what a future family reunion could look like even fictionally😆
And what I meant about Shravani. At that time KC was for Shravani and was continuously bashed too...how different are we😆😆

Well I never bashed KC, but I was upset with Shravani, I don't even remember if I made any posts back then. You know I don't bash Real People unless , only to defend myself. I was quarrelling in front of the tv though.😆 I just could not relate to Arman breaking their marriage for something Shravani and Sachin did, just like Arjun and Purvi.

what made it hard for me to swallow, was the attitude Shravani had, as if she had a right to Manav, and she was the one who caused her own dilemma. I thought she had a bad attitude, especially when she fell in love with Manav. I felt so bad for Manav's dilemma. You know that is when I knew Manav was a nice man, because he never ill treated Shravani, even though he was losing Archana, unlike Arjun.
Really disgusted me when Arjun was comparing himself to Manav.

So, you see how different cultures can make us support different things and not understand or see each other's point of view?

See, how we have a different POV too.
I never thought that Shravani forced herself. She was rather resigned and wanted to be an unwed mother. She could have easily gone to US, and did that too. It was Savita who didn't want to lose her grandchild. Savita stopped her with her promise of marriage to MAnav and Manav confirmed.
I don't blame Savita though, esp. after that tragic death of Sachin - any mother could think to give up on her grandchild. And Arman was actually themselves going for a divorce, with Archana walking out of her marriage after that Satyanarayan puja, and that police complain. Hilly, nowhere can a marriage survive after a police complian and beating. I have seen both, a yoiung wife complaining to police and a wife of 12 yrs complianing to police. Both became rocky, the latter ended in a divorce.
Arman then was only paying the price of Archana's mistrust. But Shravani - she never wanted to come between Arman. Manav felt it strongly and he wanted to marry Sharavani to give his name to his brother's child. And this was only possible because, firstly his marriage was going for a divorce, and secondly, since Sachin died, he felt strongly for Sharvani's flight and her unborn baby. Besides, by then Manav never cared, after Archana left, who he get married to - and marriage with Shravani does so much good for the unborn baby. so he goes and tell Shravani - he will give her the status of a wife.
Shravani never was ready, asked him many time, and also went for abortion - it was Archana, who brought her back fromthe clinic. All through Arman promised that Manav will marry - was it that hard then for a young girl like Sharvani to fall in love with Manav. The gratitude was so strong towards him, coupled with MAnav's good nature and the fact that they were going to be married. Not to forget, Shravani was also just coming out of mourning Sachin's death, with being preganant. Pregnancy does things and all these helped Shravani to fall in love. Shravani was young too, abt 20 yrs. How much could she handle...I could always see her POV, esp. after Sachin's death - all her dreams just came crushing down - by just one stroke - oh, no girls should ever face her fate...and she just wanted to hold on to something and came Manav like that shinning star...it was all so sad - and all had a POV then, that made it all so interesting...

Well, the perspective you just gave me, in terms of her just losing Sachin and her mental and emotional pregnant state, I could have heart for her.

At the same time, I just keeping remembering how she behaved even towards Archana. Then again, Archana's family did cause Sachin's death and we know Archana bring things on herself with her Mahaan act of carrying Shravani back to the home.

I also remember Arman having problems, but we know at the time, they still supposedly loved each other. Additionally, I just had a hard time understanding Shravani's behaviour, and I know it would have a lot to do with my culture, and other emotional factors, as I have never been in her situation, nor have I ever had children. Plus my tendency to be black and white at times, especially back then.
I thought marrying off Manav to Shravani was absurd and Arman was not over as yet.

I was understanding of her dilemma as a single Mother and how she lost Sachin though.

In the end, I did see a more evolved strong Shravani and I was happy for that. Even though I had wished she took Sachin with her, Archana was not the best candidate for Motherhood. Good thing he went to Canada with the Ds.

We can't blame the CVs for what they show in Pavitra Rishta.

The cvs have stopped showing Pavitra Rishta in this show for more than a year now and we continue to support them.

It is the viewers who steer the wheels of how the story lines go.

Arman were destroyed by their own actions and lack thereof and as viewers we all took sides.

Some took Archana's and others too Manav's, whether it was wrong or right or both.

The ones who took Archana's was the majority, so everything related to her, viewers supported.

Hence,Sulo was supported as long as she kept in line with Archana and Purvi, and Purvi was number one in those viewers eyes.

Those who took Manav's side, supported everything related to him, Arman's children including Sachin and Savita.

Post leap everything went haywire.

Cvs took advantage of the majority choice and realised that even if it took hurting Arman's Bio children to support those close to Archana, such as Purvi, viewers would not mind. Their analysis turned out to be a success.

Purvi would reunite Arman and break Ovi's life all in one go. Viewers enjoyed as their feelings are only concentrated in one area.

Two birds killed with one stone Manav and Savita suffered for what the majority perceived as their Karma for Archana being separated from them for 18 yrs and anything related to Archana would be victorious including her.
For the cvs more money in the bank.

This never made any sense to me, because my thought is that if Purvi would be the angel from above to save Arman, why would she turn around and be the nemesis for their own daughter.

Then it dawned on me that Post Leap the majority like-minded viewers was split into Two Sets of viewers, some wavering between both and the Cvs saw it and ran with it.
First
The viewers who were still sentimental about Arman but had bigger heart for Archana.
and Second
The viewers who were no longer as impressed by Arman, and the show was void of the most important thing to them, some sizzling romance.
Hence the birth of Arvi Fans.

The cvs saw that they had two stories parallel to each other and decided to play it for what it is worth.
Purvi would be Arman support for the sentimental viewers, hence they liked her.
Then
Purvi would benefit from having the boy whose marriage was fixed with Ovi, viewers liked this because the cvs spiced it up by making Ovi look like the spoilt brat, and who cares about her she was brought up by Manav and Savita, so Ovi is the enemy.
Compounded by the fact that Purvi depicted the hot head smart girl who put the rich boy in his place and made him completely Sprung. Through this storyline the cvs have pleased the middle class audience of women and the women who want women to dominate.

Cvs know that from ever since the beginning of serial time, most of the Indian audience thrive on chemistry, rain scenes and lots of excitement and the majority viewers were no exception.
The cvs worked with this and realised that viewers did not care about the ethical implications of Arjun, Purvi and Ovi, as Ovi was never important, they just wanted some chemistry and Arjun and Purvi they saw as perfect match.

The cvs know at the end of the day, most viewers don't care about what is wrong or right, they just want the show to go on and that sizzling hot chemistry must always be on screen.

However, what they never bargained for was the household viewers in India not supporting Purvi going from Onir back to Arjun, and not staying in her marriage. Afterall, arrange marriages is the age old culture, and brides work on their marriage with dedication and determination. This was not shown with Purvi.
The cvs thought that the audience would have been so sentimental about Arvi, that they would throw away their age old values and support Arvi reunion gladly. So, they came up with making Onir negative, yet it seems that is still not working because they see through the cvs.

Now, the cvs are in a bind, but they want to reunite Arvi, they are having a hard time.

The viewers, made the story the way it is, not the cvs made the story.

Therefore, the cvs will play all of these observations, due to us the viewers reactions to what they put out and they will play with what we want and don't want simultaneously to stretch the show out for as long as possible.

This works every time, and that is why Ekta shows always run for long periods, and she has not been shunned from society for her writing. The sentimental viewers for romance are her prized possessions.

My POV.

Perfect analysis. I think currently CVs are having hard time figuring out how and if at all they should reunite Arvi. I think audience is totally divided on this issue, more like half and half and CVs don't know which set of audience to satisfy. Articles are saying that Arvi will reunite, Onir will stay positive. But we also hard that Archana will play Arjin-Ovi's daughter. I think CVs are very confused right now.

Homie I wanted to write out my thoughts b4 I left. So here I go.
When Sachin died leaving Shravni prego, she did not ask or forced herself on anyone..She even went to get an abortion..Nosie Archana over heard her convo with the doc's office and followed her and stopped her..Great going.. Now it was Shravni's rich dad telling Manav "Who would marry my unwed prego daughter" than generous-zimmedari baba Manav offered himself to marry Shravni..Mind you he was still married to Archana though was in the 3 mo period to make sure divorce is what they wanted..ArMan deep down inside knew they loved each other but their stupid ego and convoluted thinking got them to divorce.
Meanwhile once Savita finds out Shravni prego, went for an abortion, Manav's marriage on verge of divorce thought it would be good to give shravni & sachins baby some legitimacy. So she supported Manav Shravni's marriage.
Shravni has asked Manav many many times if this is what he wanted and he kept assuring her..Shravni could see they loved each other or something was still there as ArMan's eyelocks had not stopped..
What is a woman to do when a man keeps telling her and assuring her he wants to marry her and wants to give a child father's name? So she went along with it...In this crusade of Manav to take zimmedari Aarchana also played a part assuring Shravni she wanted divorce and Shrav could marry Manav but she will always have a hold over Manav;s heart.
I have never seen Shravni throwing herself at Manav..She may not be liked by ArMan fans but she was also misguided and mislead by Manav..
I so wish Shrav's father had not said thouse words to Manav "Who would marry my unwed prego daughter" and given her support to be a single mother as they had all the money and comforts..Father failed at supporting his daughter and put the responsibility on Manav to carry.
Manav and Archana could have taken responsibility of Shravni as bro's wife and the baby could have chachu-chachi but no Zimmedari Baba Manav volunteered, put sindoor and mangalsutra on Shravni while being married to Archana..
This was the turning point for me in PR and I started feeling disgusted by what was shown in the name of sanskars, tyaag, zimmedari bull pucky.
What Purvi - Arjun are doing same has happened b4 by Archana and Manav..Why pretend and lead some one on for 2 yrs when a couple is still going to run away and unite? Giving someone false hopes why? Shravni should not have accepted his offer period no matter what IMHO..That was the end of Pavitra Rishta or anything in this show abt 2 yrs back..Rest is history..
This is the reason I have never been ArMan fan or supporter...I called out on Manav than, I called out on Archana when she was wrong and so for Savita when she was wrong..
Thanks for reading my long post...Have a fab day you all..

Who said there are negative vibes in arvi reunion...don't be in ur own fairy land friend...everyone are eagerly waiting for that and the CVS are dragging with that...so viewers are irritated and that reflects the trps.. ..after armaan only arvi is there...all the others are nor centered...and Ovi deserves the taste of her own medicine...deal marriage is not life even she is the daughter of armaan ...
