Recently, after her appearance on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19, Malti spoke candidly about her experiences in the film industry, including uncomfortable moments linked to casting couch. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she reflected on her time inside the reality show and opened up about challenges she faced outside the Bigg Boss house.

Addressing the topic directly, Malti acknowledged that such situations are a reality for many. "Yes, sometimes it happens. Once or twice, people may try their luck," she said, explaining that individuals often test boundaries by closely observing behaviour and reactions.

Elaborating further, she shared how subtle cues are often read and misread. "People here are very smart. They understand your nature and your body language. One or two people crossed the line, one even misbehaved, but most understood my boundaries," she stated.

Malti credited her upbringing for giving her the confidence to handle such moments. She spoke about being raised in a household where her father served in the Indian Air Force, saying that the discipline and clarity she carries in her conduct often prevent people from crossing limits.

During the same conversation, she also offered advice to women entering the industry. "Girls should not fall for sweet talk. They should stay alert," she said, stressing that awareness and firm boundaries are essential when dealing with power imbalances.

Recalling a particularly disturbing incident, Malti described working closely with an elderly and respected film maker on a project. After the work wrapped up, she greeted him with a side hug out of courtesy. "In return, he tried to kiss me on the lips," she said.

She added that the man was far older and someone she had admired deeply. "I considered him like a father figure. That incident taught me a lesson - never put anyone on a pedestal. Be cautious of everyone. I never imagined someone of that age could behave like that. I was extremely angry," Malti said.
