I don't think Purvi will ever be a good mother to Pari, such is the problem with K women. Sulo had a hand in ruining Archana. Archana has made a lot of trouble for herself yes, but Sulo was the one who was always there to support her right or wrong (mostly wrongs). Sulo and Archana made Purvi think she was the greatest perfect kid in the world who could do no wrong, and she has gone 100 kadam aage. Purvi will raise Pari with the awesome K sanskaars and Pari will be ruined too because of her mother.

You know what shocked me the most? She, who adviced Arjun time and again to stick to marriage, RAN at the fisrt sign of cracks. She forgot, in one instant, all that Onir has done for her. She deserves to be decieved.

Exactly! This is why I cannot root for such "lead" character. This is Purvi's hypocrisy at its finest! She has a different set of rules for herself and for others.

Dramione, awesome post!

Purvi keeps proving herself to be more and more of a hypocrite and a liar everyday. I have never seen a more pathetic "lead." She's a vamp in my eyes and all of her actions have proved her to be so.

Almost all the major characters in this serial would fall under the category and Purvi is no exception.
Although, in this case... its all her fault. Who asked her to get hitched to Onir, without even finding out the first thing about him? Such a reputed doc he is, she wasnt even surprised, when he proposed to her barefeet, otracized prego self. šŸ˜†
Hope you are not saying all good men who marry girls who had prior relationships have suspicious pasts. But otherwise agree with you. Purvi should not have minded that the guy had a rock solid credentials and that she was in an unknown land before she agreed to get married in haste. She is paying the price of being a fool.

I hope now she realizes to have someone hovering in the back of someone's marriage and how it feels to know, someone else wont let go and be the first priority in their lives by constantly tugging them back with phonecalls, eye locks and illicit meetings. Whats the saying about Karma being a beyotch? Yup!

Illicit meetings - how, where and with whom? On Karma, it is not even a debate who is paying the biggest price but I don't want to digress from the topic on Purvi.

Everytime Ovi looked back, around Purvi was constantly there, ready to poke her nose. Now she is getting the taste of her own medicine. Purvi should remember, good intentions doesnt equal to good actions or even good results.

Purvi was not always hovering around Ovi. In fact, she had skipped town to save Arjun-Ovi's marriage.

Purvi came back to mumbai because Ovi could not have her precious self be looked after by the good doctor in Kolkatta. Purvi was not even left alone to go to Pune and have her delivery in peace. Purvi decided to give away her baby to Ovi because Ovi cried on Purvi's shoulders on how the baby was key to band-aid Arjun-Ovi's marriage.

Purvi always had good intentions, if her actions did not result in good results, it was purely fate that has played its card so cruelly with that accident.

You know what shocked me the most? She, who adviced Arjun time and again to stick to marriage, RAN at the fisrt sign of cracks. She forgot, in one instant, all that Onir has done for her. All the benefits she reaped whilst being married to him... and how her kaands stripped him of his license. How, not once, had he behaved in a step fatherly manner to Pari, despite the father hovering around in his marriage. She simply claimed "you broke my bharosa", I am leaving. Its not even my house. HAIN? And that too, at the cost of her jeene ki wajah. See her akkad? Ovi was to "samjah" 1 billion majburis and pyar Pari.. but madam cant even hear Onir out, after all that he has done for her? She deserves to be decieved.

Finding out that Onir is already married sounds like the 'first sign of cracks in a marriage'? So you expect any women to stay back with her , err, 'man-who-was-my-husband-till-yesterday'? What she had adviced Arjun is to honor his marriage even if when there was no love in it and she walked the talk by creating a similar life for herself.

Purvi did not go chasing Onir and asked him to marry her. She has the right to feel betrayed, she has the right to hurl "you broke my bharosa" at Onir's face. In fact I would have been happier if she had done it with more drama - Ovi style, aka, screaming and throwing few things around.

About Ovi's majburi's, it is a stale topic that we have visited often - she didn't mind them at the time of marriage and so she cannot suddenly complain about them. On Pari, I supported her decision not wanting to act as Pari's mother but at the same time, I was aghast that towards the end, she treated the baby as a piece of trash.

Onir was definitely in my high regards till a few days back. The guy was goodness personified and Purvi was really lucky to have such an understanding husband. Purvi was equally responsible for Onir losing his license, however, whatever Onir had done, he did it with his eyes and ears open.

But no man has the right or can be justified to go after a girl, propose to her by harping on her disadvantage (unwed pregnancy) and act as her husband while hiding about the state of his prior marriage all the time. At the same time, to hear that Purvi (or any women for that matter) deserved to be deceived in such a manner, presuming this comes from one women and supported by others is far more disturbing.

Disclaimer: I was quoting your post in the spirit of debate and with no other intentions.

Vasu_2013 If the above is disturbing then so is people saying that Ovi deserved to have her baby be a stillborn as karma.

Also, Purvi skipping town was hardly for Ovi's bhalayi. She hid her pregnancy and then left to cover her own deeds.

I agree with you however that Onir shouldn't have suggested marriage to her just because she was pregnant. I don't know how Purvi would have managed without him since as her belly grew people would be looking at her suspiciously and spitting on her face for being an unwed mother. Just Purvi's going about "taking care" of Pari now is hardly praiseworthy, so who knows how she would have fared as an unwed mother trying to make something of herself in a place like Kolkata. It would have been worse had Onir not married her, but then I guess he's learned his lesson of crossing paths with such a person.

Of course, not from the angle of karma but saying Ovi's deserved to have a still born is not acceptable either. If the accident had not happened, both of them would have been leading a good life of their own. But fate (not to be mixed up with Karma) had other plans.

Interestingly, I read more about Karma in this forum when things go wrong in Purvi's life, so why is Ovi an exception? Ovi is no white angel, she is stacked up on bad karmas all right, when she had intentionally treated Purvi like trash most of the time, the most unforgivable in my opinion is how she behaved with the pregnant Purvi.

We may not agree on this but Purvi skipping town was to keep her baby and not disturb Ovi's marriage. So, what would have been the alternative? She would have got no worse treatment from Archu and Sulo than what she received now. But on the other hand, Ovi-Arjun would have got divorced and Arjun would not have let Purvi be disgraced or disowned eternally. After all, why would Purvi have to bear the cross alone if Ovi wasn't involved? Even Sulo mentioned that if Purvi had told the truth about the baby, things would have ended up differently.

Nothing would have been a scarier prospect for a young girl who had only couple of years of working experience, not very high on confidence end up in an unknown land without a prospect of job or family support. If it was only the pregnancy that Purvi was worried about, she would not have attempted to keep her existence in Kolkatta a secret even after married to Onir and he was known to be the happy father to the whole world. And tell me, why had she not even once volunteered the truth of Pari to Arjun, before or after the delivery ?

Lot of characters on the show have to learn their lessons, Purvi and Onir included.
